STL files into GCode
« on: April 23, 2017, 14:59:25 PM »
I have been making models from Blue foam - Dow Floormate - and have developed some interesting techniques to expand the capabilities of my home built twin tower foam cutting machine. For this I mainly use cadworks and foamworks.
But now moving on I am looking to expand the capabilities of my home built 800 x 800 x 400 mm  router using stl files as the format for producing cutting/printing files. I can produce stl files.
I have Meshcam and wonder if I could manipulate the files in some way to produce printing 3D printing files.
Of course my ideal would be to find a process by which I could do this from STL files.
Any knowledge available?
