Andy, Are you sticking with the piano wire UC or going with the alloy version? If you choose to have a steerable nose wheel I used a steerable tail wheel, removed the plastic mount and fabricated an alloy one up. Rich
Andy, It should'nt matter if its out anyway....but I would probably take the Mick when we meet up again Rich
Hows it going Andy? got her covered yet??
Peter, Yes we have,
the organisers will contact me with the dates but it will more than likely be around the same time. I was only watching your minimum flight on my pc yesterday Rich
HiGood to see a design for a practical AutogyroI have just ordered the plan and the gearbox in the attachment as I had trouble getting a master airscrew box.For the motor i am looking to use an E-Power 2826 950KV 45A from Giant Cod.What do you think?Steve
Thanks Rich, how much is the CNC kit?Steve
Hi Rich /AndyJust started the build from the CNC parts which has saved loads of time.I have glued up the front, rear and centre of the mast. The tops are all different lenghts, the rear is long and the front is short. Is this critical or can I just sand the rear to match the centre and add a piece to the front when the head pivot ? Steve
I've just sent off for the plans and as gearboxes seem hard to get hold of I was thinking of putting the bearings into the triangular rotor plate - not sure whether to use one or two bearings though. I do have a lathe and this seems to me to be easier than making up a rotating shaft. Any comments?John
