Vintage radio control electronic construction articles
« on: February 01, 2018, 13:09:41 PM »
Hi
I'm busy constructing a number of old radio control systems from booklets and magazine articles.
I am desperately tying to find the Radio Modeller GG Tx build details. I know the article appeared in the RM book Low Cost Proportional by W.P.Holland. This book is almost extinct, I tried the British library who do have a copy but cannot provide a reprint due to copyright law.
Can anyone help.
Clive

Hi Clive, Shaun has built one, he talks about it here:
http://www.rcmf.co.uk/4um/golden-age-vintage-and-antique-rc/under-50's-need-not-apply-reviving-1960s-radio-control-!/msg1031291/#msg1031291
I'm sure I have at least one copy of LCP by Pete Holland, I'll have a dig.
I've an inkling that Petes was a unijunction pulser, but I might be thinking of another one.
Incidentally the S/C community has permission to reproduce old articles from RCM&E & RM, just check with Shaun first that he's not about to use it in 'Retro Ramblings'  :af
Cheers
Phil

Hi
Most grateful, yes he has a mint copy of the book and could damage the spine doing copies.

Clive sorry I just realised I took all my books & old mags to my mums for storage, so it could be a little while before I find a copy.  Try asking on singlechannelersreunited and I'm sure someone will have one, maybe Dave Lovegrove ('Twitcher' on the forum) who is the GG expert these days (you know that we're flying GG again?) Daves brother Peter Lovegrove penned many, many GG articles in the old mags.
Theres a specific GG & Pulse section on the forum, its quite busy!

Are you guys familiar with this wonderful repository?  I couldn't find the book in question but you may find "Grid Leaks" interesting:

Cheers
