Flexible Exhaust Pipe
« on: September 12, 2017, 20:17:42 PM »
Need to construct an in cowl exhaust for an RCV58. Concept would be to immediately turn the exhaust 90 deg using a knuckle joint, then a short pipe run then into home-made box silencer.

Would anyone know of a source of say a 10mm metal flexible pipe no more than 30mm - 40mm in length.  Just Engines do a flexible pipe but they are far too long.

Thanks very much, e-mail just sent to Mick to see if I can get a pipe to screw directly onto the cylinder head.  RCV use 11x0.75 threading.

Think you could be correct JE site states the 90 deg bend fits OS and RCV's.  Still to find an OS 90 deg bend at a reasonable price though as JE want 20 which is a bit steep for what it is.

You could try 10mm copper tube it would last a few years before cracking. It is easy to bend to shape and silver solders well.
