Inverted or upright
« on: September 12, 2018, 13:21:00 PM »
I have a small model to which to afix my 0.30 four stroke too. it's a home design and turns out the engine can be fitted upright or inverted. S oooo o o o which is the best location for a small four stroke, the model will be fairly aerobatic and hopefully a little over powered. I rarely fly in straight lines.
Don't propose side winder mounting as I don't want the bits sticking out. :''

Whichever puts the carb level closest to the tank centreline, unless the motor has exposed rockers in which case it should always be upright to avoid the risk of grounding the rockers against the tarmac...

Personally I'd fit it inverted, let it grind off the stupid waste of space power sapping valve gear, then fit a decent two stroke, I suggest an Enya.........................if you have any left..................

This is an In joke I am not about to explain................   :nananana:
