:-\ I'm very confused about the engine choice of my new esm Typhoon kit?
Reading around lot of people use a big engine like g38 or 35cc gas engine
The Vqwarbird team suggest me to use a 26 cc engine, that has enough power!
The Italian distributor state also that a good 120 4t glow will do the trick!

I can choice between a crrc 26cc 2,4hp gas engine, crrc gf40i gas engine, os 120 with pump....

I intended to use a 18x6 two blade propeller

please give an help !

26--30cc is ample,    the 120 will not be enough,  thing with the tiff is, its got a VERY short nose moment,    we had to decide to go scale, or extend the nose, (you can blame this lot on here for the scale decision)    you HAVE to get everything as forward as possible, mount any ballast as far forward as possible,  on the bulkhead is no good,    expect the weight to come out at about 16-18lbs,   the wing is superb,  it handles this weight with ease,        as has been proved, many many times :)

A good 30cc to 35cc four stroke or two stroke. The heavier the better. I fly mine with a Roto 35, others Saito 220 as Alan said the flying characteristics can not be faulted. Any weight you have to add put is as far forward as possible, ideally just behind the spinner.

Ok this is the decision!!!

DLE 30 Rearcarb!

plenty of power

no need to cut the cowl to accomodate engine muffler and so on!
