Chaps

A number of forum members were instrumental in helping this US company establish its self over here about 3-4 years back, well I regrat to inform you that Skyshark will no longer be manufacturing their great range of scale kits due mainly to ready built and the costs involved in kit manufacturing in general, as I have just read on RC Scale Builders site.

A sign of the times I guess......I for one, will miss them.

Gutted, after completing my 190A (and loving it) I fancied a Dauntless and the bigger 109.

I should have had the Val long before now...
always intended to trace out the parts and enlarge to 80"....would have been a terrific model.
  I e-mailed Mike...but he"s none left....will try and hunt down even a plan..

Too bad isn't it, had a chat with mike a year ago and got half a promise that the next kit would be a large Tiffie, would have been very nice.

Cliff, Grahamd built that Val a few years back if I'm not misstaking, have a chat with him.

It`s very sad.
I`ve built their Avenger and the Val, best kits I`ve ever built.
They considered an IL2 and were working on a BP Defiant too.
However I posted the Val plans to another Forum member and I can`t remember who it was ; sorry Cliff .  :'(
Sadly neither model is still with me as I seem to be better at building than flying !
However I have found another Avenger kit for sale and made an offer, so it might be reborn in another livery if all goes well. Never quite sure about building the same model twice but it was an easy flier with good presence in the air and something a bit different .

Dave Platt built a larger version of the Val and very good it looked in the Magazines too. Don`t know whether he has published the plans yet.
Regards, Dennis.

 Thanks Graham,
Chaps, if things work out ok....there might be an on-line build of a larger Val...around the 80" mark....so here"s hoping :)

Sent an email Cliff, and I think you need to re-think your scale sizes  :study:
