the Huri is from the other lot,

??? What??? Do you mean hawker, rather than Supermarine???

i guess that counts out the Seafury then ;)

Where has all the BLOODY wind gone?

no, the Huri was Cambrian, the first ATS fighters were from the Cambria stable, hence we had the 190, but not the Huri

the kits are now very different from what most of you will remember as the traditional funfighter. much lighter, well cut and quicker to build.

it's all old Welsh politics...............

anyway, thats kits, theses are ARTF's and an ARTC

I know you believe you understand what you think i said, but i am not sure you realise that what you think you heard is not what i meant.

A moulded one would be stunning but having built the wood tony and seen a few others fly that would be the more practical way to go.

Cactus,

you were right, they did/do a larger sportscale series.

After much searching I found this link

http://www.shop.edirectory.co.uk/cambrian_models/3104/mia/d/mustang+sport+scale+wings/pid/5351118

Anybody know if this is still active or is it a hang up from the good old days. Sent them an email but no response yet

Hi Cambrian is not the same company. These are the origional designs whereas ATS have been improved and developed over the years to a point where they have much better performance than the old design.
The only thing that remains is th outline shape and method of construction.

the old ones also have a much thicker section wing so you wouldnt get the speed range ATS have.

Phil - New owner of the Cambria licence used to have shop in Stourport on Severn (Modelcraze) has only just moved to new larger premises in Brierley Hill so this could explain slow reply to your e.mail. Modelcraze was my LMS until he left Stourport, sorry to have lost him.
Gurth.

Can someone remind me what I came in here for.

Cheers guys,

It's nice to know I'm not barking up a blind alley.

Christmans present I think will be one of the new moulded funfighters I think though...

You'll need to be quick as the moulded ones may have sold out and for the forseeable future they're not able to make any more.... you could be lucky and get one but I would PM mike mayne and ask when he returns from holiday on the 12th Oct.
