Hi,

I need to make some need control rods for the ailerons servos in my Miraj glider.  The current ones have a small carbon tube (3mm) which go into threaded cable adaptors.  The thing is that they threaded bit fits m2 clevices but the back end is wider.

Is this normal?  I need to get some more as you need a strong pushrod for this model.  An alternative set up would be appreciated. I'll post a picture when i can........

A good move here is to call Pete Tindall, ace pushrods  :af

Not sure if he does 2mm, try here under PTA. I normally upgrade to 3mm at least.

thanks. The problem is that ther servos are hs85mg's so you can't use big clevises (too big for the  horn) and the ball is already attached to the aileron.

Use a smaller Internal diameter carbon tube and utilise 2mm rod.

It was goin great till it crashed!!

hmmm, thanks Jez. I could just get some small carbon tube and JB Weld some 2mm threaded rods into either end.  i'm sure that would work fine.

Get some 2mm silver steel from an engineering supplies and thread each end, alleviates any need for gluing then.

pete also has some threadded couplers, you can just use metal links straight on them. work out the lenght you require and buy the right ones.
i would have got some by now but you never know in advance what you'll need later.

I know you believe you understand what you think i said, but i am not sure you realise that what you think you heard is not what i meant.
