I know a few folk are proposing meeting in the beer tent, but as many peeps may be wandering around at various times on different days and as I have not actaully met any forum members yet,( apart from club buddies of course )  that is not always a guaranteed way to meet up. Would quite like to just say hi etc to a few members, especially those that I have done the odd job or 2 for  :af  are there any better / more fixed arrangements for forum members to meet ?  I have sent my mobile number to some, and if any others fancy a quick meet, post on here :)  or PM me.
Mrs FBD and I plan to be there Sat 11 - 6 ish ::cc

A simple solution is to wear your RCMF "T" Shirt (shame if you dont buy one  :ev), or as a simple alternative get some T-Shirt transfer paper (£3~4 10 sheets) and at least print and iron RCMF & your name on your fav T-Shirt (yes the SUN WILL be out). Then take lots of beer money coz everyone will want you to but them a pint (Well I DO  ::cc).

Does anyone know what the progam of events is?
Cause it would be easy to say 1 oclock in the beer tent but if that clashes with a monumental display of some kind, it won't work too well................ ;)

I haven't seen a program yet but usually at lunchtime there is the flightline walk about, so no flying then, so that could be a good time, unless members want to look at the models?

Sadly I wont be there, I will be at the full size international fly-in at Breighton in Yorkshire for the weekend, we are doing some model flying on both days. Should be a good weekend, real shame it clashed with Cosford though.

The bar is as good as anywhere, but we could do with a flag or something for new members to recognize.

pointless saying meeting in the beer tent as hardly no one will be there. tried that in the past 2 years and only a very few turn up  :'(

Which one are you?
1. If it works, why change it?
2. I can make it work better!

perhaps thats because some people dont pay £10 to get into a model flying show, and spend half their time inside a tent drinking beer ... ?

yes meet up somewhere else ! Perhaps outside a major dealers "tent" like YT or Als whatever...( ususally too full inside ) 2PM, Sunday.
Now, I will wait for all the quite reasonable complaints from those who want to be elsewhere at 2Pm, or are going on Saturday etc etc. :)
My original post also suggested that those people that I "know" albeit virrrtually, could just text /call me on my mobile when they are there, and we would simply meet up and say Hi etc in the flesh as it were.... but obviously it would be nice to meet other forum members too, IF THEY WANT TO....some may not !

Sounds good, but it may be better to make it 1pm as that should be lunchtime, 2pm should be back to flying

I vote for the YT trade stand

See, I told you 2pm would be no good :nananana:, and if the flightline walk is "lunchtime" does that put the mockers on it too  :banghead:?
 ;D ;D
Incidentally who is volunteering to stand around holding one of them "tour guide " type boards, you know the ones... with the coach party numbers / etc on 'em. We could have one with the new logo on  :uk:
I reckon a brolly dolly should volunteer for it dont you chrissy ? :''

just phoned DAK up,  weather at cosford is glorious,   many there already,    for the meet up, full size spit is due at 12.10. the yak is due after this, at 12.45,   this window is the only one they can get, so, its both together,

before this will be the flightline walk,  usual quid to charity,   if there is weather, the aircraft will orbit, till called in, so they could run a little late,        so, is the 13.00 meet up a tad early?  or just right :-\
