Hi!

2 significant events this month.  The Vulcan flies again  :uk:   and the Multiplex PROFI MC 4000 has finally ceased production.  :(

It is a tribute to the 4000's groundbreaking design that is was in continuous production since 1996 and is arguably still the worlds most versatile radio set.

Thanks to all those fliers with the forsight to get them.  There are still 6 that I know to be still in captivity, so this is your very last chance.

Multiplex, however, will still continue to service the 4000 for the forseeable future.

Ta!

Gordon.  :'(

Oh Clive you really are such a cynic.

When was the last time JR had a radio so advanced it remained in production for over 10 years?

JRs Tx don't need to be in production for long, they are 10 years out of date when they go on sale!

Well, this is a Multiplex forum, we are allowed to have our in-house jokes about the chromed hedgehog txs from the Japanese firms! :D  After all, anyone who visits a multiplex forum is either a multiplex owner or has secretive ambitions to be a multiplex owner, isn't that right clive?  ;)

Does that now mean the SX has moved up from 'entry' level? (read: not many pennies) :''

No that was a tear deep from the bottom of my heart... Gordon was gutted on Saturday I had to make him copious cups of coffee to perk him up  :(

To be fair Brian it only takes about 30 minutes for me to buy a radio so as long as its in production for a day then that will be long enough for the Doc to open his wallet  :-*

Secretive ambitions!

I like it, I like it!!   Not to worry Clive, I feel certain Gordon will recover quite quickly. After all, it won't be long before Multiplex have more ground braking technology on the market. ;)

P.S. You do seem to frequent this thread quite a bit Clive. Is there anything you'd like to tell us?

What like that cupboard full of NIB Multiplex Transmitters kept cool by lipo powered leccy motors?

Yes a closet multiplex fan.  ;D

I quite like the new layout, but it's forced me to think of a new signature. :(

You must accept and embrace your Multiplex tendencies Clive. Don't fight it - resistance is useless!

I wish I could brake the ground and stop it leaping up to grab my models (thereby breaking them) ;)

Basic Research is what I do - when I don't know what I'm doing!.
