They're all but done, just Mr. Redshaw's excellent tailoring skills required now! Will have the bits and hopefully a finished figure minus clothes for Wigan.

BTW Ian, this post question from Richard was over a year ago!

If anyone has info about clothing etc. for their figure they could bring to Wigan the weekend then I'm sure Ian can use it to get the right look. I'm just involved in the moulded bits, Ian is the seamstress (sp.).   :)

Thanks for that again Mudders, have we decided whether it's a canvas or leather suit yet?

I've got some generic boots with real leather laces and mittens made up already, obviously we can make them to the correct style as long as you have some pics to go from. I'll try to post some pics later. At the moment Ian is going to make leather helmets, coats and trousers.

cheers,
Sym.

No problem, I'll post a pic of all the bits later when I get home. For now the legs and arms will be material, we'll have to see if this works for everyone, if not then we can mould some instead. Same with the Helmets, Ian is very keen to make these from leather though they will probably be moulded on the 1/4 scale figures to keep them looking realistic.

I can't believe it's March already... I'm waiting for another arse kicking from ProfLooney, lol.  ;D

thanks,
Sym.

lol nope as long as I have them by sept I am all good ))) with jaime getting all the kits cut this week I will soon have mine too. Im like you guys waiting for my kit, but I can understand his position too laser dies you order a new one and it sits a month or better in customs because they keep screwing up the paperwork. the good part is he wont even answer my calls any more rofl. he warned me he was disconnecting phone in laser shop til he got kits caught up so he calls me every night giving me  his reports to pass on to everyone. he is putting in abt 14 hrs a day and says hes getting abt 1 1/2 kits a day cut and parts in the box and boxed up ready to go.

Well here's progress so far. Like I said I've made some general use boots and mittens for starters, the boots will come with leather laces. These are the master plugs that just need a final smoothing out before I start moulding them tomorrow. All parts will be moulded hollow for lightness.

BTW, the moving arms will be added after Wigan, though we're still unsure whether it's worth having them considering how tight the cockpits are. I'm leaning more towards the forearm only moving rather than the whole arm.

I saw him munching Pasties so we must have been in the same room, lol.

I got most of the 1/4 scale body parts done before I started on the 1/3rd scale figure so there isn't that much to do. I'm spending all my spare time on these things, but busy with work at the moment so it's only a few hours a week. I really would like to say before the end of the month!

cheers,
Sym.

Just a quick apology for the delay with the 1/3rd pilot figures, I'm trying different resins at the moment to get the strongest, lightest figure possible.

After meeting with Ian yesterday we decided that it would be foolish to rush forward with an inferior material that to us seems too brittle at the thickness I would like. I'm currently looking at a semi rigid roto-moulding resin that is impact resistant, it sounds ideal and I can get it locally... woohoo!

cheers,
Sym.

Oh I don't know Chris, I could use a tube of toothpaste to make the plug with!  ;D

I'm really sorry about the delay with these figures guys, a mixture of work, funds and MOT's together with choosing a different resin for roto-moulding is pushing the finished items futher on. I would love to say this week, but the above mentioned reasons will decide that.

cheers,
Sym.

At last some progress. Here's the almost finished first figure ready for Ian to do his best impression of a tailor for the coat and trousers. Just got the last servo to fit, linkages to the head and mould the hands and boots.

Sorry about the pics, it's 1.35 in the morning and I'm holding the figure with one hand and taking the picture with the other. If it looks a bit out of proportion it's because I'm too close with the phone and it's fish bowling a bit, sorry.
