The Bigger Splinter

83" span (just over 2.1meters)

Constructed from solid Oak, this time some European kiln dried instead of English, $$$$£££ :o

Just don't have the time to see this project through. So Time to pass it on to some one that does.
The model is as in the pics. It requires all the holes to fit your radio, servos and battery.
The Idea with this was to have 4 servo wing, but as nothing has been cut out you can make it how you like.
It is untested but comes from a very good pedigree so should just be better.

More info from the builder. http://www.rcmf.co.uk/4um/index.php/topic,71684.0.html

yours for only £150.

Really beautiful plane. I'd be on it like a shot except:

- no DS experience

- no plank experience

- no money

- no willingness to ding it, I'd have to just oil it and put it on the wall instead.

Shame. If it's still knocking around unflown in a few years when I have gained the relevant experience, I'll be back!

Oh, hang on - it isn't 'fly it like you borrowed it, land it like you stole it', is it!
So that's where I've been going wrong...

I want it. I really, really want it. Alas, as with those that have already posted, I don't believe I have the experience or equipment to complete the project.
Gutted as I'm sure she would have loved St.Agnes!!

P.S. Am I correct in recalling that the original had 'bars' that bolted directly onto the servos rather than the standard servo horn and arm approach to control the ailerons / elevons? If so, do you or anyone else know where these can be obtained from, and are they any good?

I have here a few 35MHz receivers. They were given to me as working when I bought a 35MHz TX, but since I converted it to FRSky 2.4 straight away I've never used them, and can't test them.

Open to offers. Can get them to the Stroudish slopes and possibly Bristolish eventually, or will post at cost.

- Futaba FP-R116FB 6ch RX with ch.64 crystal

Hi Guys,

I've recently finished a new Caldera A, and cannot justify keeping my original model. As such the airframe is up for grabs. Here are the headlines:

- Full carbon airframe – very stiff wings and boom (same manufacturer as the model flown by Peter Kowalski)
 - No damage, other than a small crease to a tailplane tip and a little 'speckling' at the wing root where tape has been applied.
 - Originally built for Espen, and rigged out in Norway (not one of my builds)
 - Airtronics 761z in wings and MKS servos in the fuselage
 - Futaba 2.4 Ghz rx
 - LifeP04 cells
 - Yellow uppers / Pink lowers
 - Tweaked Slope Racer wing / tailplane / fuselage bags.

As I'm sure you know, the Caldera A is a stunning aerobatic model, and remains a competitive F3F model – even with my rusty thumbs, I placed 9th with this model at last years Welsh Open.

I was hit for £1050 for this model, but am looking for a quick sale, hence £750 firm.

Cheers

Greg

I have a part finished one I've actually offered it to Jiberjaber but have just noticed your post.
The control surfaces are all finished but not hinged.
Fuselage is finished and Solartex covered with servos, 35 mgs (71) Rx and battery are built in.
Wing is complete with servos fitted, no tip blocks, covered with gloss white GRP reinforced tape.
Genuine kit direct from LE Models, can send you some pics if you like.

Ellita F3F and Thorn 60" for sale

1)
Muller Ellita F3F model 2.85m cross tail
Just need to add receiver to fly (or I can throw in the 35mhz I took out if needed). It has had a fuselage repair which is strong but not very pretty as I bandaged the repair with carbon on outside and haven't painted. Also a slight crease to wing tip which is only cosmetic and minor which was done in transit. This is a very good model for sport flying as well as F3F.
more info please contact me
£400.00

2)
Thorn 60in Solid wood plane this is a heavy model for windy days comes with 2 hitec HS85mg in wing only. Good condition.
£40.00

I'm in hastings but you maybe able to pick up from an F3F event

Thanks
Gary Harrison

Something like an electric bird or electric typhoon. 2metres or less.

Anybody got anything going?

As I said before, thanks for all the offers. I am pretty certain I've got myself sorted with an electric bird which I'm looking forward to getting my grubby mitts on.

So is anybody interested in a fairly lightly used Reichard Svist. Ready to fly except for Receiver? Offers?

Hi folks – anyone got a spare Ellipse 2 wing centre panel? – its a glass
version, so smaller joiners – doesnt have to be pristine, as long as its solid -
white on top would be good, red undersides ideal.

Please PM or email me if you've got anything suitable.

Phil.

Due to planetary alignment which brought together the opportunity to buy a plane off a good mate combined with a lack of cash (it always happens like that ::)) I need to off load a couple of airframes to supply the required wonga...

Therefore I have for sale...
1. Opus GT complete with 5 x Futaba 3150 servos
2. Air One Mini Acacia fully fitted out (can't remember what servos are in this but will check).

Photos will be uploaded later from the PC as I'm doing this post on my iPad...in depth enquiries will be supplied via pm and over the phone if you pm me your number.

I'm looking for £445 ovno for the Opus and £175 ovno for the Air One

...further to the sale of the Opus...the ONLY reason it's up for sale is that I've been given first refusal on a 'Sting' which I have coveted for some time...and is in immaculate condition...

Otherwise I'll be very happy to keep the Opus  ;T)
