Yo dudes

Update from the Zim Yard Sale!

The Big Ceres is now sold to a man who I am very happy to sell it to  :af

And now we have the Madslide - 2m of aerobatic yellow awesomeness...

It's all spot on from front to back - I recently redid the whole install as the previous one didn't make the most of the model - here's what was done:

1. Carbon horns made up and installed to the ailerons - sized so that geometry is perfect for symmetrical throws and max resolution from the servos.
2. Wing servos replaced with new HS225MG - lots of power for those big ailerons and less than 6 mths old.
3. Battery location moved right forward to reduce nose weight and AUW.
4. Battery is now an Eneloop 2000mah AA, less than 6 mths old.
5. Fuse servos replaced with low profile standard size S2G - these are very fast and very torquey - have used them in a few power models before and they are very good and accurate. Less than a year old, but this is their first install, so essentially new.
6. Control runs in fuse set in place with foam so as to minimise any slop in the control runs.
7. Wing alignment checked laterally and reset to be perfect. Sleeves installed into wing to ensure it stays this way.

She's a good 'un lads. Capable of the flip-loop with a bit of snapflap setting - I can give you the settings that work for this. This is a light model which can perform in a wide range of conditions and is a LOT of fun to fly. I'm selling it as I find myself getting more and more into faster and faster models nowadays! Should point out the only fly in the ointment - those holes drilled into the bellypan by the guy who built it - you can see them in the underside photo. Rather oversized as access to the wing bolts, but on the plus side it does make rigging the model very easy! I just cover them with yellow insulation tape in flight - it's an amost perfect match and stops them being a drag  :af

Here's some pictures... She's up for £160 incl everything bar the rx.

Lol i was going to put..... 'and then I bought it!' But had a customer and forgot to reply,

The history of the model, Built by Steve Mitchell on here.
Owned by NFJ then Simon Johnson :af

Cracking model and to this day I have no idea why I sold it. A bit like the Pixel Zim, maybe so a mate could enjoy the model! I hope Cliffhanger goes for it. He'll not regret!

Got a Multiplex Rx7 Synth IPD receiver for sale. It came in a 2nd hand model I bought and I've never used it so if anyone fancies it, bring your tranny (ooer), a battery and a servo so you can be sure it's OK.

Not sure really what they're worth 2nd hand. They're £55 new so say £35? PM me if interested. I'm in Chesterfield if you want to have a look at it.

There's an Acacia currently being auctioned on Ebay. It might make a good buy for someone who is wanting to get into F3F this year or just for some sport flying.

Not many details but what there are is here..................

I was looking at that yesterday
FWIW - that's an older Acacia Mk.1 - not the current Acacia 2
smaller tail - had a reputation for flicking if pushed too hard - same wing, just as fast
only flown twice? - must have been in storage for a few years  ;)

Thinking of selling me Opus V DS, its unassembled apart from wing horns and wing wiring loom hole.

I've got a Typhoon coming and feel that will suite my flying style better. The only reason to keep the Opus would be to DS it but living in cornwall with no suitable DS sites it would get flown once or twice a year.

This is the colour scheme...

cheers

Steve

Acacia 1 has "shoulder mounted" wing - Acacia 2 wing mounts on a low pylon above the fus - looks like an A1 to me - and its listed as "acacia" - not A2.
I was quite tempted - but too many planes & not enough time to fly them at the mo.

Dudes - I've not advertised it anywhere else yet, but I figured I would give the RCMF posse a heads up on this one before anyone else.

I'm putting my RaceM up for sale. Why would I sell such a legendary model you may ask? Well folks, I'm focussing on trying to get lots of cash into stock for Sloperacer at the moment, so I'm whittling my personal models right down for now. Some tough choices for me to make!

So if anyone is interested in this model, PM me asap before I advertise it elsewhere. Not decided on pricing just yet, but let me know if you're interested sooner rather than later, as RaceM's always sell in a blink as they don't come up too often  :af
