Wish I could come, but I have a stinking cold  :'(
but I can see the bowl from my office window so I will be thinking of you guys, If I had a telescope I could see you too
If you want a live weather report in the morning you can have my mobile as long as you dont ring before 7.30 ?

Looks like a nice clear day with epic lift, just watch out for that low sun at midday when landing.

The Lear won't be ready and I'm not sure the wind will be "good" enough anyway, but I might come with the Tigershark and Luna?...

I guess I would aim for about noon...

I have heard that the lift can be soo good at Bopeep that a plank or log will fly... so bring the lear along any way  :nananana:

I think I will aim for some time between 10 and 11, thats a more civilised start from here of around 0830 ish

Good idea, I'll take the Lardy Discus too - it flew really well at Firle once (probably about the last time I flew it actually!)

I'm almost embarrassed to report how fabulous it was at BoPeep today.....Alan Twine, Jason, Gary and I - possibly the best day's flying I've had (partly because I didn't come back with any planes in bits!)

Wind was about 15 - 20 mpg at a guess and the lift was excellent, although it was a bit gusty.

I flew my TigerShark for about an hour in total.  I played around with the cg a bit but it seems to defy the laws of physics - in a dive test it will tuck under and dive vertically indicating tail heavy.  Add small amount of lead to the nose and it flies worse - in that it won't gain height as well and what ever I do it will not loop (rolls quite well though).  I'm thinking it must have a low terminal velocity because of all the drag from the ducts etc.  I ended up with the cg in the same place as I started as the best compromise.  Not sure if there will be video as we didn't have the professionals with us!

The most fun I had was with my lardy Discus - throwing it around - huge loops, gentle scale rolls, stall turns - I had a blast!

Other attendees had a great time too, albeit Jason had a mishap with his Alex which spoiled his day a bit.

I can't wait for the summer!
