Chaps we're now up to 213 pages of messages in this thread - no technical issue with that - just wondered if you wanted to start a South East Flyers II topic or even a child board of your own?

Another vote for leave it as is please.........

The generic Forum thing that really does annoy is where they allow Stickies to remain for things that should not even have been a Sticky at the time, let alone three years later....RCGroups is poor for this.

Then there's R*M* Forum where you don't even have decent basic control, not a patch on here........... :af

Wiz, it's a really good Forum, and pretty useable, more than many! :af :af

I'm out with my School Kart Team today, and Club Fun Fly tomorrow so going sloping is at least four days away................  :'(

The user formerly know as Bravedan........... Well if Prince can do it....................

A couple of people have suggested missing codecs but I have the K-lite codec pack so should cover every codec!  Its really annoying!  :banghead:

Are you sure it is actually working, i.e. that it isnt just the audio recording.  The camera has the ability to just record audio iirc.

Hi , yeah the video plays fine on its own outside of Windows Movie Maker.
Very puzzling!  $%&

When hovering the curser over the video it says the file type as 'video clip'  , I have noticed the videos that do play on WMM say the file type as 'Windows Media Audio/video file' .
But the file type also says its an .avi file when you go into properties.

well Simon_t and myself went to botony bay today to fly our ceres f3b's.
lift was ok, but slightly easterly, but generally it was ok.
the rotor at the back was savage, and on the last flight i had with my ceres it slammed it into the ground.
ouch !

all it broke was one of the tail joiners, and put a crease in the gel coat arounf the canopy.

all fixed now, litrally, just about all fixed.

she looks all nice again, but i havent painted the gel coat crease following repair.

the wind would of been so much better if it came from the north and it was june :)

thats that for now, off to butt lane tomorrow with martin_n and simon for some mouldie action.
hey we may even do some combat too.

Are you flying today Paul?
I might pop down to Folkestone / Dover shortly for a few hours of stick stirring.
I was in Wiltshire yesterday flying off Clench Common just south of Marlborough. Not too bad but it was bit bumpy as it's a smallish bowl and it was a killer as parking was at the bottom and it was a long climb up!

Ooops just noticed Simon and Deryck are online - anyone else flying today?

Too many models to list - If I did they'd take up the whole page!

Wahay!  Fixed my Windows Movie Maker problem!  All it took was a few clicks of the mouse!  I went into the 'tools' section in WMM, clicked 'options' then ' compatibility'  and ticked all the options including 'ffdshow video decoder'  and hey presto, it worked!  I can now play all keyfob cam vids in Windows Movie Maker!  :af

Looks like a few of us are going to Warden Bay today on Sheppey. :)

I'm going to head down to east Kent to suss out a couple of easterly sites - I'll report back later!

Wow !
Ceres F3B with Full wing RDS, 8 chunks of ballast and butts lane producing massive lift and some nice thermic activities.

The Ceres F3B with RDS means you can dive from a massive height with out the fear of flutter of the wing surfaces.
The sound she produces at top speed sounds like a turbine (Quiet turbine !)

Awesome model to position on the line, and not the hardest turn, but comes back very nice.
She has just been promoted to number 0.98, and ceres lift has been demoted to 1.02.

Butts lane when its on there it does produce stonking lift, but its a shame about the blooming trees along the edge.

Ho hum, at least simon and myself got out and did some decent slope flying.
Blue skys and a wind chill of -6degrees.

As the wind direction swung back round to ENE, I joined up with the others at Warden Bay and had a good couple of hours of foamie fun. After that I went down the coast a tad for some seawall soaring with the WildThing just above the waves as the tide was nearly in! Chilly, but good fun.

BTW Paul, I tried out my Robbe rubber duck today for the first time and it worked a treat with no range issues. However it confused a few people who hadn't seen one before and they thought that it was a special type of 2.4 gig aerial - I'll make sure I put a frequency flag on it next time. I had one with me but it was made for the telescopic aerial and the RD has a larger diameter.

yeah that's always worried me too, if I'm already flying and soemone turns up on my channel assuming I'm on 2.4.....so I tend to use it only for with the WT

I spent the day from 09:45 till 17:30 at my power field where I managed to get 4 flights in with them whirley things I fly. :)

I did think about giving WotN a go earlier in the week, it would have been a nice drive out but I forgot all about that today!

Maybe next time.  Still worth a try I think.

Was a stonking day at butt lane Allen.
Huge lift at time and some very nice thermals.
Simon and myslf were getting moderate height ;) from them and got some awesome speed up.

Was very turbulent on the edge today resulting in interesting lanches ;)

Good to hear Butts went well.  I was at a toddler party - aka hellville - until 3pm so it was too late to go to Butts, but I did go to Wolstonbury Hill and fly the Erwin and Banana for an hour.  It was good but not epic or anything.  The vid cam worked this time.  But I won't post the vid because all it really shows is sheep.  They were hanging around me for some reason ... gliding enthusiasts I guess.

Whirly things for me too today - plus the first flight following repairs of my Extra 300.  Bitingly cold NE wind at Epsom, so didn't stay very long!

Remember, up is up, and down is down.  Except when inverted - when down is up, and up can be very expensive
