For £54 notes flair are still selling the cotwsold tracer,

                                                                                                                         http://www.flairtradecounter.co.uk/cataloguestore/ds_product_info.php?cPath=38&products_id=94&digistore_custid=7f40a53b6788722d7188ac2292a0afd5

Dont know if the engine bay is pre cut out, perhaps pat or justin could answer that one

On a 5s for short course i think id be wearing trouser clips, perhaps worthy of a demo race round the pins later in the year after the speed festival   :ev

J have you got some pictures of that tracer fuzz you have

Nope :embarassed: It's going to be full on this sunday. I hope to maiden it and mullet too on Saturday but only have access to a public park  :'' A bit scared to tell the truth and might even wait sunday to be at Northampton.

There is a first time for everything they says! I'm already shacking in my boots: first race, new plane  I'm going to be in adrenaline paradise  :D

You will get any help you need and don't worry about it being your first race meeting. Just remember that everyone else once had a 'first meeting'  :) You'll do well to make more of a mess of your first meeting than I did!

See you tomorrow for some sun bathing and relaxing racing!

Awesome!!!

First flight went fine the model did require so much up trim to fly level I think it's because I had 1 or 2 degree down thrust that I should not had and might be a bit nose heavy too(I think). Once trimed (Thx to Pete O' so much he was a fantastic helper, spotter) it flew really well and managed to race in the first 4 race unfortunately on race 3 I broke the stabilisator and had to repair with cyano before race 4. By the time race 4 was on the cyano didn't had time to cure (yeah there is not time waisting between the races :-) and you can see pretty well the video that follow the break I'm struggling to keep straight & level it keep pitching up on everyturn. Anyway race 5 was dead because my radio didn't connect :-( and race 6 I've managed to get flying struggling to have to trim and yes I did hit the branch of a tree at the exit of lap 10. The plane went down really hard and lucky enough didn't hurt anyone or either crashed into car. Pete warned me that I was too close to the tree many time hey you live and learn.

Then conclusion: my first pylon "LM MK1" had a short life but it was a full one. I'm not sad really I knew the risk but the fun is worth it. I also had a fantastic day with the lad's it felt so nice everyone was friendly in a good spirit and with useful tips on how to get better around the course.

Competition is on boys let see where I stand at the end of the season.

There you'll find a few video, first one is C2000 and just after the launch Pete had a mid air and race was stopped it go so fast! the other are my flying around the course race 2, 3,4 & 6 and watch out at the end of the last lap on the last video the branch that slap me plus the crash not to be missed.

Well it looks like you had a great day and the friendship that there seems to be on the videos from the other flyers was nice to see and most encouraging

It was a great shame that your ended like it did   :'( :'( but thats the risk in flying at any site, hopefully it was only main frame damage and none of the electrics have been damage  :xx so you can be back in the air quite quickly

Having watched the vids I feel that there is a calling coming very soon for me  :co :co to come along and join in the fun. What have I got involved with  :D :D

Ah brilliant! Man I gotta come back! Fingers crossed, next one, even if it's with a three year old airframe!

Hi Kurmet,

For the damage the fuselage was completely destroyed but the wing only lost a wing tip and the dowel pin. Then the wing will be flying again.
Never flown something like that and didn't realise the risk on radio gear that was simply velcroed to the bottom.
The AR6200 receiver is dead and do not work anymore. I've also lost the satelite.
The motor was fine after a good clean up and replacing the bearing but pull a bit more amp now and develope 770W instead of 750W before the crash weird
The esc lost a bit of eat shrink but still work fine.
The Battery is dead now I have all my finger crossed to get the replacement one before the 15

That didn't put me off and this weekend was used to build more wasp
