Maxpoly Batteries are availibe here

Maxpoly Lithium Technology

Maxpoly has kindly offered to sponsor e2k for 2009,  and has provided us with discounted race pack.
Remember you can only get the batteries at the discounted price if you have registered with e2k at www.e2kpylon.co.uk, you will then be guided through the process and be supplied with a redemption code to get the discounted price.

It is not compulsary to use the sponcer batteries, but I dont think you will be hard pushed to match the quality and price elsewhere     :uk:

Yes stuey, they do 2 versions the 6 and 8,(i think the 8s charger is availible only from the us hobby city site, but then you risk import charges) the balancing ports are built into the side

it also comes with a huge no of other leads

yes guys stand alone balancers are availiable i  still use one although i charge through it as such and it balances whilst charging it does take a little longer to balance charge but when it comes off the charger its balanced and in its best condition as such.
i also use a Li-Pro 6 balance charger thats very good as well. the stand alone beastie is a Hyperion LBA-10

Im using the overlander 300mha 4.8v reciever pack 2/3 aaa which comes in two different pack configurations

Battery Packs from Overlander Batteries

some are using 800mha 6v and nasa has opted for the lipo 300mha set up, so i suppose a broad choice and personal preference

There's a link to the company i got it from on the website although they dont seem to be listing that pack at the moment  :-\

On our site there is also a list with parts we recommend.

E2K parts at F3D.nl

We think that a 60Amp regulator is just enough, so we recommend a 80Amp type. Especially since the price is not much more.
We do not recommend the SS speedcontroller from HC, because reviews are not so good.

Some of the pictures are taken from other sites with permission.

Was wondering if someone got the dimension of the bearing for 35*36 turnigy SK motor?

I've started to bench test the 2 turnigy sk motor I bought from HK and one has the cage bended yes can you believe it and the other must have spent quality control in the Sahara :-) it was late and didn't had time to open them yet.

I've found a site that sell bearing in various size

http://www.modelbearings.co.uk/

or if someone else had to change the bearing on there motor can you post in here where you did find them.

Many thanks

Ok got a bit more info on the bearing for the Turnigy SK 3536 series. In that post the guy did get an answer to a similar question about bearing manage to get some dimension. I'm not 100% sure this are the correct size as I couldn't check on the motor I have last night.

Hi Gary, many thanks after few hours of search last night I've found an US site www.vxb.com that have also everything we need here but a uk site with approx the same price :-)

Regarding the bearing and following the e2k rules does anyone know if I motor will still be legal for race if I choose sealed bearing instead of shielded one? Past experience working in a factory has shown that sealed surpass the shielded lifespan by a long way.

Sealed
