Kudos to the RCMF crew for getting things up and running again so quickly!

There were many very nice photos posted on a thread similar to this before the crash, so let's start it again I say. After all, it's getting closer to good flying weather all the time.

This picture was taken at the 2007 Hoosier Dawn Patrol. Art Shelton's 1/3 scale Fokker EI closes in for the kill on Billy Thompson's 1/3 scale Pup. The EI in scratch built, the Pup is from BUSA.

That's a very nice photograph Mike.

Just one small error:  The Sopwith should be behind not in front of the Fokker :ev

True Alan. What I told Art was that to me, it looked like the Pup had finished it's pass, and the Eindecker just hadn't started to burn yet.  ;) He rarely got the upper hand in their dog fights. Wing warping is just too slow, as it was in WW1.

Looking forward to the upcoming flying (and for me photography) season!

A few from the 2007 Hoosier Dawn Patrol.

I caught BUSA's 1/3 scale N17 prototype nicely silhouetted (if I do say so myself).

Dave Johnson's 1/3 scale Albatros DVa

Billy Thompson's Pup (again) pursuing Dave's Dva.

Bristol M1 spinner:

It is a one-piece spinner made from 2 layers of light glass cloth with a 1/8 inch plywood disc with lightening holes bonded inside, just ahead of the propeller. A block balsa spinner was made first and the mould made from this.

Martin.

Cliff, I especially like the DVII, SE5a formation shot.

martinw, What scale is the M1c? Well done on it and the pic. It looks 1 to 1 scale sitting there in the grass.

The guy that took the photo done a very good job of focusing on this rather small model, so the background looks slightly out of focus. But that is pretty much how it looks for real. We rent a field from a farmer who's farm is within the Dartmoor boundaries, so the back drop is moorland shrubbery, a very nice place to fly......when the wind stops :)

Forgot I had this one. Taken at the 2005 Dayton, Ohio Dawn Patrol Rendezvous. 1/3 scale Pup.

They were betting coupons my old man used to fill out every week when I was a kid. They would have a photo of a football match, but with the ball removed. You had to put crosses on the picture where you thought the ball was and paid per cross. the one who got it right won the money!
Not quite the same thing but your picture just reminded me of this :)
