Topic: Laser cutters?

Morning all.

Can anyone recommend any laser cutting services that offer small batch production runs?  I want to get an idea for some costs of small production runs

got to yell.com. search under laser equipment and services and take your pick.. these are industrial job shops  on while some will cut balsa most will not bother. Most use systems around the £500k mark, not the £6k table top open beam systems used by model cutters these are a direct spin off from the signage and rag trade.

If you have local "technology college" get in touch with them as they often have 2 or 3 open beam systems suitable for cutting balsa and ply... they will often do it for free as long as you supply the timber and allow the students to get involved.
