Stan told me it was the last one,  ::)  but then he told others the same I think, and he now has the "new" Bedlam on sale ;)

Taken a while as it's been a difficult year.  Got the kit just after Christmas and started building but then me troubles began.  PC HDD died and I lost 6 months mails, 'cos Outlook don't back up if it's running  :'(  I know that now  :banghead:

Then the car started playing up and took a lot of sorting but worst was the Norwegian company that withdrew its job offer 10 days after I resigned  :banghead:  :banghead:  :banghead:  :'(  and my employer was then looking for voluntary redundancies - so I saved them a bit of difficulty/cost   ::)

Eventually decided building models was more interesting and productive than job searching.  Think I will retire instead!!   :af

So, difficult model to build IMO but then it's the first of it's kind for me and probably the last too   :D

Fus was very difficult to get near to straight but I tink I got the fin OK.  Built as per plan but with balsa tail fins instead of the plastic.

Covered as per instructs/plan - very sticky job that, not one I enjoyed.  Very difficult to apply Profilm to a tacky surface and get it where wanted but done in the end and finally a few dec's for fun.  Hope it flies good.

Final problem was/is with the servo's and the aileron ones are under the SM tape and profilm so I don't want to have to cut them out.  Set these to neutral one at a time plugged into the R700 Rx I planned to use.  No prob but when all was assembled and with all servo's connected, the ailerons were jittering quite a lot with one jumping significantly when I moved the rudder.  Tried all sorts to isolate the problem.  Thought it was an extension lead and as I needed longer, I made some new ones.  Connected a new battery, directly to the Rx but still had probs which disappeared when I connected other servo's to the aileron channels.  Changed the receiver to a Webra Digi 6 and that removed the major twitching but the ailerons still just shimmy a bit and I can detect a little in the rudder servo.  Stan recons the servo's (Hitec HS-82MGs) need a bit of running in.  So if the jittering is no worse on a long range check will fly it from my nearby slope I got permission for us to use. Here

Slope is North facing but in first pic you can see a ridge near the horizon which runs N/S for about 100yds.  Should be able to fly this slope with wind from due W round to NE   :)  Just waiting now, else it will be Burrough Hill or Cold Ashby with Arby.

Waiting, Jerry

Sweet build. Love the French Curves.  Takes me right back to design days in my Soho studio early '80s.  :af

Hope those servos bed in, be a shame to cut into something that nice.

Ta very much.  Was on the slope the other day showing it to one of my club members for the first time and I could see deer in each direction.  The local farmers are getting quite teed off at the damage they cause  :o  Beautiful countryside   :)

Sadly, yeah :(.  To see what models are still available, look at "models" in the on-line store.
