Just got back from an ace weekend, managed 4 good take offs, 4 good flights and 3 good landings, the 4th will require some 'attention  :D'.
Perfect weather, and a good laugh. I only managed a couple of piccys, but if any one has more please post here, especially any in flight ones  :xx :af

Fantastic day at Duxford, 6 busy flights with my Camel, mixing it up with the Pups and some Jerry types.

Great bunch, Ian.

I thought I told you to look after it Mudders ::) What have you done?

Good to see those that were there yesterday and sorry I couldn't make it today - looks like a great turnout.  I was otherwise engaged today enjoying myself far too much (not :banghead:), parked on that ring of concrete that encircles London.

Looking forward to the photographs.

What an ace day yesterday!!!

I had to go and buy more petrol I flew that much!!

The highlight for me was taking off 7 abreast with only a few feet between wingtips......I hope someone has video of this.

I'm burnt to a frazzle this morning. :embarassed:

brilliant weekend with a good bunch of guys.Got back at nine this morn after picking up the cat.I was poorley on Sunday (something I ate) But nevertheless I wouldent have missed it for the world, It was bloody hot. Well done the Dawn Patrol and roll on Cosford. Got to say that mass take off impressed a lot of people. Glad I didnt miss it tho I had to keep within running distance of the nearest khazi (the worst case of the Oldham two step ive ever had)Again well done chaps.  regards Ken  ;copper;

As the DP were all on the flightline and the mass take off was a last minute idea, ie no wind to speak of and acres of room to take off, none of us have any vid, we were hoping someone else there may have taken some. It did look good though.

Please let us know if you have some vid or even pictures.

I thought ya all did a dam good job.........didn't try anything 'clever' once in the air, just nice gentle circuits and figure eights....looks really good. MUST find some time to give the DH-2 the TLC it needs so I can come and join in....

....& Mat...for someone who hasn't been at this game long, the D.VI is a REAL credit to you, both on the ground and in the air, GREAT job.

Mmmmm....with a Sea Fury deadline looming, and a certain model shop owner wanting his Spitfire 'mending' for Cosford........the DH-2 @ Cosford is out I'm afraid. Tap's has persuaded me to bring it along for static, so it should be there....we'll have to wait a while to get it airborne again though  :embarassed:

3 years!!!!.....it took me almost 10 before I was flying bigger petrol models!!!

But with young Mat flying his own machine now perhaps you need to find another pit bitch to hold the camera :ev
Photo's look great! really starting to regret moving away from that part of the country now. I'll be at Woodsprings Saturday, so I'll try and capture some video & pic's if there is any dawn patrol presence there :af

Hi Steve,

I would really like to know how to download picture from the gallery. Looked at the tutorial & my screen is nothing like the one shown! Every time I try & download a picture, just about, the screen goes white with a small RCMF logo at the top left. I have only had these problems since the major crash.

Sorry Neil, I don't use the Gallery on the forum, but will check out how to do it and get back to you :af

Ok found this on the FAQ page, but I guess this is what you are doing

Question: How do I upload a file?
Answer: Go to "Upload"and select the album that you want to upload to. Click "Browse," find the file to upload, and click "open." Add a title and description if you want. Click "Submit".

Alternatively, for those users using Windows XP, you can upload multiple files directly to your own private albums using the XP Publishing wizard.

Great shot of the mass take off.   Who was the beginner flying the Camel then?  Looks like he needs a bit of practice on the take offs ;)

It would have been even better with a Tripehound in the mix but it's early days :study:

I lent it a bloke who swore he had an A :embarassed:

Tis a bit embarrassing that pic, I put it down to disturbed air for me and Jez, behind the awsome waft of Rugsters and Ceejays Pups. :'' If you look at the deflections on rons and rudder I am trying to control it, honest!!

What disturbed air...I'm simply taking off into a nice side slippy pass........ :'' :''

Actually I was avoiding Ceejay......

my pilot had said it was far to hot and had gone for a beer, but seriously as this is the first few flights for a couple of A/C testing the flight envelope and structure is more important to me at least than trying to kill another 1/3 scale chap, hard to get and train you know  :af all will be in order for the "official" photo launch/shoot at Cosford,

  100% scale   never mentioned!!

Hi Guys,

Now I know what I'm doing here are a few more. The quality isn't brilliant because I converted small pics instead of the originals. If anyone wants proper decent quality pictures I can either e-mail them to you or do a proper photo - for a minimal cost.

More pics to follow - sometime in the near future ::)
