4 out today, sunny and cold .Franky got to break into high wind soaring with his Phase 6 in 58mph wind.( only been in 25 until today!) He said " how can you enjoy the flying out the front when you know you have to try and land at the end." Just told him "the more you fly in 60mph ,it's a piece of cake when it's only 45 "

I'm no expert but I'll give it a go.

         Formation shot.

       Close in.

    Low pass.

These pic's have been taken from video footage so the're not the best quality.
Once the video footage has been edited I'll post a link to it.

                        Chris. ;)

Nothing's better than a calm,sunny Sunday afternoon.

12degrees in Gods county this morning with 25-35 Westerly wind. The No Work Team flew everything from 3metres to 48inch ubermoth,we left at dark. Think thats it for a decent fly this week looking at forcast. Will finish refurb on Jart,( pic's shortly).

Nice to know people are still flying up there.
Twas where I learned to fly some 30+ years ago.

Remember flying near the mast in thick snow. Needed to dig a place to park the car in the snowbank at the road edge.
To launch we put the model on the snow at the top of the slope, gave it a push and hauled in some up elevator when it was sliding fast enough.
Touch and goes were also good fun.
Used a Radio Modeller V2 covered in glasscloth applied with Humbrol epoxy paint. That should challenge the brats, sorry our younger brethren.

Max
