No they left them on the bench. they haven't got used to painting the 40"ers yet. Apparently they're used to painting 60"ers.

Looks like a very interesting model to have in the hanger and I'll be interested to hear how they perform on our slopes.
Aren't the ailerons narrow? Presumably for 200mph+ DSing the last thing you need is a roll twitchy model and fluttery bits trying to rip themselves off the wing.

It's really good looking :), but it would be too small for me to keep up with :(, (eyes not being what they used to be ::)), I'm trying to convince myself of that :-\.

Still reckon that a FF is the next box through my door :af

Well I finally managed to get over to Adam's today to pick mine up. First impressions:

1. Quality is insane. This model is SMALL and must be pretty hard to construct, but it's pretty much perfect.
2. It's proper full mouldie construction - carbon covered spar made from something square i.e. it's not a foam noodle - guessing balsa - the same idea as the D160 and the D80 I guess. Nice!
3. Fuse is properly stiff - the boom is actually quite long, but it's not got any flex in it at all.
4. Nice details like the reinforcement evident around the wing saddle area of the fuse.
5. Wipers are miniscule but work perfectly with no binding.
6. Paintwork is really well done - no bleeding on any of the masked lines.
7. Stiff stiff stiff!!

Wing servos will ideally be 7.5mm jobs. George has some 8.5mm ones which look good and seem pretty accurate with good centreing slack or under load with a simple test we did on the bench, but it would be nice if they had a tad less slop in the gears. 8.5mm also protrudes a tiny bit whereas I think that 7.5mm would be flush. There's some nice little digis that might do the job - will find out soon!

Oh and a AAA 5 cell pack will fit into the nose no bother.

Finally made a start,

Decided to mount rx and battery in a keel, this will then be bolted down to a blind nut epoxyd to the fuse floor.

George has gone for a 4 cell pack, ill be using 5 cell.

servo plugs will be cut off and replaced with 1 mpx 6 pin, plenty of room for nose weight (i hope!)

ive also drilled the ariel holes and elevator push rod (cable) is installed.

Yum Yum, These Korean meat balls really are the dogs bollox.
