Just sorting out my D40 delivery from the States. If anyone else is based not too far from Oxford (or indeed Weymouth) and is desirous of a D40 then we can share shipping...

Maybe we should start a "Who's the Dynamic Daddy" thread for when these other D40's arrive and also for Adam and Georges D80's. My new DS goal is to get faster speeds than George's D80 with my D40  :ev although probably not!

Perhaps it will even tempt Mr Manor over here to stake his claim as the UK Dynamic Daddy sometime  :co

Consider it an invite anytime you like Joe. Although when we drive 100miles to a slope we're usually greeted by crossed conditions and rain, so if you fly a few thousand miles to a slope, then you'll probably get an electrical storm with hail and zero windspeed. Still, the scenery's nice!

Nope. My PMs to Joe seemed to find a black hole. Luckily for me as the new 4 servo wing seems to be just around the corner. Thank you Santa.

I mentioned this elsewhere but I have a problem. Not too good access to DS sites at the moment. Hence the liking fir the D40 that seems very versatile. Then along comes the 4 flap version. Yay!!!
I actually go on the net to access Paypal, check out the RCG threads and see a mention of the D60.
I'm a sucker for 60" planes. I dumped all my foam to concentrate on mouldies and have 6 wings with two in order ( I count wings as I have e-fuses for a couple). Of the 6 I have 5 are 60", as is one if the new ones. I love my Brio, it is versatile and fast, but it isn't as totally bonkers as a loaded 60. Nor is it as suitable for my most flown site. Another venue would probably totally change my mind.
So imhaving to curse the fact that Joe is turning out planes to production quicker than James Hammond. Who'd have thought DS would be going almost mainstream?

Nice shiney new Pike Brio. Its great. Just not nippy. A labrador compared with a Jack Russell. Flies on a fart and now the CG is back where it should be rolls axially and loops and flys inverted brilliantly. I love it. But when its twenty feet below you three foot from the gorse in the turbulent Carp its a bit cumbersome and slow to respond in comparison to the Bird. Tennis rather than table tennis.
We all like different things. Embrace the diversity!

PS I'd have had an Opus last year if it didn't have a one piece wing. 80 is too big for me to transport easily. Hence the quest for the two piece wing of first the Luna (don't ask) then the Hypnosis (Merde alors) and now the Needle 100- Yayyyyy!!

Hi Ed

I like my 60"ers too, far more agile than the big stuff - but I think Deckit is right, 2m ish retains the agility but adds a whole new dimension somehow.

As for a two piece wing, I have one word for you..

And the word is

ERWIN  :af

Tim

Snowed in AGAIN so sticking servos in his Vikos....

Not ordered yet as I am totally in love of the idea of a D60. And I won't dare think about that until I know what the price is. I do know I won 't be able to justify a 60 and the 40.

Anyone who remotely fancies DS should get a 40. Man they are ace. Sooo robust, and just get smoother and smoother the faster they go. Chicks dig 'em too.

Because if commonsense ruled I'd have a foamy wing, one 60 and an F3F and that is all. Where's the fun in that?
