While im waiting for my D40 to arrive, a couple of questions

Ordered a couple of Logic srvos as you guys recommend but how are you mounting them to the wing? Epoxied straight in or taped up then glued ???? Or a different way? How strong are the gears ?

Where are you guys getting your 6v rx packs from?

Cheers guys

Hey dude

I made mine out of AAA Eneloop cells although you can get them in that format from Overlander I believe.

Servos - just glued in with epoxy. Don't overdo it and it will be fine. The gears aren't that strong I guess in such a little servo, but we've seen plenty of less than ideal landings, even cartwheels and so on and not yet seen a stripped gear. I think the gearing of the surface to the servo is really low so it very much limits the torque that the servo sees back through the linkage.

Yeah they will probably fit, and yes you can buy them from Sloperacer :: Home   :) but a 9mm servo will leave a little bulge where the 8mm Logix will sit almost flush. 1mm doesn't sound a lot until it's in a D40.

George - not referring to you mate - my first landing with mine on the Bwlch was a bit of a circus act! Not a scratch!
