Rite guys, I'll be taking my 12volt supply again. It has a set of buzz bars on it that can manage a few sets of crock clips. So any one is welcome to pop there chargers on it. Andy, we can charge your gun on my chameleon as I do mine.

that's the radar speed gun sorted then - excellent  :af

Simple idea for frontside speed runs:

60 sec climb out (so you don't take all day)
speed run in across/along the slope - clocked on the radar gun
climb out again (pretty quick!) & maybe another 30 secs?
speed run if from the other direction - clocked on the radar gun
max speed or average - or both - whatever

then the next guy up, repeat until we get bored with it...

Phil.

Chuck it off a cliff !

For anyone who sisnt go last year,
   The pub has this thing where they are soo confidant that no one will get a mobile signal at the bar, that they will give you free drinks all night if you manage to take a call while at the bar!!

Got all the planes packed this evening - 4x planes - 2x packs to carry  :af

Thought I'd do it early, in case of problems, which there weren't really, except deciding which tails went in which pack, and which ballast went were - was going to put it all in the planes, but then the RCRCM plane-pack was too heavy - didnt trust the straps - so half the ballast goes in my rucksack. After last year not having enough, I'm taking full ballast for all the planes.

Looking forward to a pint of Lundy light after carrying this lot over there  :P

Phil.

As nobody bought up my bed I'm still hoping to get over for a couple of days at the end of the week. Fingers crossed I pick the good days. Have fun fellers. I'm off for a couple of hours with rebalanced Brio on Portland now.

 Phew, that was lucky ::).........
 Just opened up the hatch on my Skua to give everything a final look over prior to packing it away in my box, & spotted the slightest bit of gunky stuff on the black wire plug. I released the wire from the plug & found it to be all fuzzy. I stripped the black coating off the wire to find the wire itself was as black as can be :o  First time in more than 20 yrs of flying that i've had a case of black wire corrosion.  I now have to cut open the battery compartment & to get a new battery in tonight.  Just whan i thought all my mods were ready :banghead:
