That's a semi-scale version of one of those RCM&E "Farmhand" thingies isn't it?

Reminds me of those other ugly designs; the Piper Pawnee and the Fiat Multipla...

Still, that's only my opinion :) Beauty is in the eye of the beholder so they say.

Look a damn big thing !! :co

Any chance of a close up of the Ailerons hinges and the detailing on the Elevators ...makes all the diff.... Wish when they had changed the baever to the built up wing that they had kept those triangle bits on the surfaces.... can't wait to watch this build.

hey Imagine you could fit a presurised water spray system and do some mock spraying   ;D ;D

done the first bit on it today, fitted the tailplane tube, two halve fit onto a 1/2 inch tube then bolt to fus, beuty is indeed in the eye, and to me this plane is just plain ugly, but caracterfull, they were not built for looks but to work, and this one is no exception, it is for glider towing, up front wil be a Zenoah G80 twin, will post some clos ups for you tommorrow, all hinges are robart type, and all control surfaces are corrugated as per full size you will be able to get a full 90 degs of flap.

hi folks

finaly got to getb some more done today, after a two week delay with illness :'(

started on the simple stuff of fitting servo,s to hatches hinges to surfaces and a few twiddles, first twiddle was to smooth out the little lugs under the tailplane that are used to fasten tailplane halves to fus, they looked a bit agricultural, even for the Agwagon, these will now be painted to match fus.

next twiddle was to file a half circle where the hinges fit to allow the hinge pin to sit on the hingeline of surface, the when the rudder was dry fitted movement was restricted by the ballance fouling the flat angled surface on the fin, so the covering was carefully pulled back a semi circular cuttout into the fin and covering re applied rudder has full and free movement,

Hi Chris, with you being ill for a couple of weeks I am now in front of you on my build, all servos fitted and set up, and wing struts fitted. I had to re-drill both struts as per the instructions as the predrilled holes did not match the fitted blind nuts. Fitted the fuz end strut covers but the wing fence covers seems to be the wrong profile and the paint line is 20mm different to the main wing line- how is yours?

Just about finished my build, apart from those pesky wing fences, will have to talk to Wilson about them. All the radio gear fitted and tested, tank installed tie wrapped to top of fuz above wing tube. I have altered the fixing of the large bottom hatch from 4 screws to a tongue at the front and 2 hatch catches at the rear to make it easier to get to the wing fixing bolts. Hope to change the canopy to catches as well, don't like 3mm cap screw and long grass! Engine is fitted and cowl cut to suit. Need to add nearly 3lb of lead to get cg to correct position. Hope I've not hijacked you thread too much.

no probs

been tinkering and have the G80 fitted, but i,m a bit anal whenit comes to fitting things and cant stop tinkering and altering, alterations so far, tailplane halves will be permenantly fitted, frame to be made for inside rear of canopy to take the tow cable forces, heavy duty tow release made, tank will be mounted on CG as its very oversize (1 1/2 litres) and in its own litlle box  :af rudder closed loop is to run internaly all the way to rear tailplane/rudder drive rod made to incorporate horn for cables and will be in rear tail cone unseen, i dont suggest that their is anything wrong with supplied hinges but i am stuck on robarts so all have been replaced with them (all the others are in my hinge tray for future use) its a slow build i admit but in my deffence i am also covering a new 5 mtr glider, (HP18)covering and fitting servo,s in a 1/3 scale vintage glider, (penrose pegasus) making bits for my sopwith pup, (turn/bank indicator thingy :af) oh!! and went flying thie weekend,,both days   result :af

Test flew today and all went well, no trim required at all so must have got cg right, landing took 2 attempts as it tended to float on with the good breeze that was blowing. Will now add steering to tailwheel as free castering was not a good idea.

Very nice sound and looks like it pulls it round ok.... Not agricultural enough for my liking.... you need a big chugger up front... The Turbo Prop would be better suited to the Pilatus or a Tucanno... Still looks good!  :af
