Ah-ha Jamie, good questions  :''

I am flattered by your question!

I had not intended to do any kit or plan stuff with any of my models.  I think the way I design things doesn't lend itself to a wide interest, but I suppose if the thing flies then why not.  $%& However I do have to say they would be pretty basic kits and plans.
The FD2 obviously not built yet, but v closely based on the P1091.........which flies well after an initial tweak of the C of G.  If it goes together in the same way and behaves in the air then I can CNC more bits whenever after the first flight..............but I don't have a good record on achieving them (but I'm still better than a certain Meteor that is being built though   :nananana: ).
The Vulcan is a different matter: I have done quite a bit whilst out here but the hardest part will be sorting out the fan installation and retract mounts - will take at least several months and a couple of test assemblies yet: remeber that as soon as I get my CC120HV ESC back I'll be back on the Viggen.

BTW - anyone interested in a FD2 build? Not sure how different to the P1091 it will be though.

In all seriousness Pete I think your models may indeed attract a smaller number of people than the usual Sabres etc, but they're still relatively simple one-piece EDF models of scale subjects. I think the idea of a "short kit" is well established these days. If you provided a basic plan, CNC cut wooden bits, the vac forms and where neccessary, the turned metal bushes you might well find some takers. I don't see that the quality of the hypothetical product would be any removed from a Westwings Hunter or Hawk kit  $%&

You'll never compete with the ARTF foamy , mostly because most folk think knives are something gangstas own rather than aeromodellers, but there are still a few of us who like sticking things together  :)

I'm certainly up for the FD2 build thread by the way  :af

You leave my Meteor alone - I'm hoping to have another go at the canopy vacform this weekend, and my rather pricey offset hinges arrived for the u/c doors - so sod off  I had to spend this month's pocket money on outrageously expensive shirts and shoes because the stuff at the price I usually get all had darts sewn in like blouses or pointy toes like stilletos. That and a rather flashy new graphics card for my PC, which I'd been missing for a long time since the last one blew up over a year ago  :'(

Not at the moment Albert.  I had never considered it until Jamie's kind comments.

Have taken advantage of a lull in proceedings and last week gave the M52 some attention.
The C of G needed to move forward a tadge so added some cockpit detail and moved the battery 1/2".  After 9 months it got another outing today at Merryfield after the jet flying finished with Geoff doing the driving.  Better 40C pack this time, went like stink!!
As the handling characteristics have been tamed am considering a larger one with retracts and a Stumax 110-52 fan.

Am down for a meeting Fri 1 June Harry, will bring it and a few others for some North Cliffs EDF action before hand.
Had a long day at sea today waiting....................did allow me to faff around with the CAD drawings though and have decided am definitely going to do a bigger one (I even fired up profili and re-designed the wings for flaps and ailerons).  I know I have some suitable oleos and retracts at home, just need to measure them to see if they are more suitable for a 110 or 90mm fan sized M52.  Might have something to cut next Tuesday :-)
Pete
