Hi chaps, I want to add an elevon mixer to my homebrew tx, for simplicity it will be fixed ratio at first.
I've heard that wings like the Wildthing etc are quite pitch sensitive, so I was wondering, whats a typical elevator to aileron ratio if not 50/50?   how about 30/70 or is that too far the other way?
Many thanks
Phil

I dont know about there being a good ration my plank has maxed out ailerons and only a tiny elevator, something like 25mm ail to 6mm elevator
but perhaps thats a little silly but thats suits me  :af

elevons tend to be somewhere between 1/3-1/4 of aileron movement depending on design and CofG
combat wings can be closer to 50% but the CofG might be a smidge further forward for better recovery and big movements for extra agility.

if i were you i'd try and put it on an adjustable pot so you can tailor it to the airframe.

as noted above plank wings are even lower ratios..

I know you believe you understand what you think i said, but i am not sure you realise that what you think you heard is not what i meant.

It really depends on both model and your prowess on the sticks - I employ huge movements on everything, so I'd be on a 50/50 mix but by and large less elevator to aileron wil be 'it'  :af

Thanks very much chaps its only a temporary thing until I make it all adjustable. I'll go with 25%ele 75%ail for now, just want to get something working quickly.
Ta v much
