Hi all,
I picked up this Nelson a few years ago with the plan of building something to put it in, needless to say the project never got much further than running the engine up.  I am considering get rid of the engine and was just wondering what these are worth these days?

Hi,

When you say 'a few years ago' - how long do you mean - I only ask because about 3 yrs ago, Nelson brought out a long stroke version of his Q40 motor. If it's the LS version it will probably be worth quite a bit as he doesn't make them any more after retirement and they are still the quickest Q40 motor out there.

I have the LS motor in a Loki Q40 model and it is quick. They were around $420 when I bought mine a year or so back.

It all depends on how old it is, and whether it's the LS or the SS version. A tip - if it's the LS it will say 'LS' on the exhaust, just where it bolts to the engine.

The carbon props are $7.50.

Hope this helps a little.

This is the short stroke version, I would hazard a guess it is around 6 years old.

Did you ever sell this motor?
