Hi
Just noticed in the manual that the oil mix for the Wren 70 is 5%, all my other Wren's are 3%.
Has the ratio changed now?
Tony

Tony,

All Wren motors ...except the 44...can run on 5%. Easier mixing, better bearing lubrication and a more standard ratio...

Yes I do know that Ron, but the fuel I have made up is at 3%, will I be safe in using that in the 70 until I make a new batch up at 5%?
Thanks for the reply
Tony

Is Wren now recommending 5% oil, or does this apply only to the Wren 70?

I have been running my two Supersports and 54 on 3.5% oil.  Would I be better off using 5%?

Wren states that the 54-SS turbine motors run a minimum of 3% oil.

Naturally....5% is going to give better protection to the bearings. The new Wren 160Pro must use a minimum of 5%, due to the massive size of the bearings.

Wren does not recommend 5% use in the 44 due to the smaller diameter fuel ring.

Hope this clarifies the issue!

Ron
