I'm looking to head up on Saturday. Going to take the boys this year too. So looks like I'll have to divert some of my toy money to them for toy planes, ice cream, burgers etc.  :'(

Hope to see some of you there.

I'm sure the flying displays will be as varied and entertaining as ever, but as a shopping opportunity, I fear this show is a shadow of its former self - not helped by the lack of a quality full-size draw (the P51 in the poor weather of '08 was knockout and more than compensated for the RR Spit no-show...)

That said, it's a cheap early summer outing for our club, so I guess a posse will be there  :)

was gonna say trade last year was a it lack, but then i've been spoilt by the other shows and we've not been doing woody.
however i'm nearly all packed and ready for a more relaxed weekend on the smaller site rather than the constant slogging your doing on others

I know you believe you understand what you think i said, but i am not sure you realise that what you think you heard is not what i meant.

Woodspring, and the excellent Redruth show are the only 2 I go to generally. So Woodspring is a relatively good shopping opportunity, although only for significant bargains or unobtanium, as I'd rather spend what little money i do, locally.

As mentioned there are a good range of flying displays at woodspring so I hope the boys will enjoy it.

Thanks for the those  :af

The HP W10 was really superb (and superb pics too!), as was the Courier.  Nice to see there are still modellers out there who JFDI and surprise us with the results :uk:.

Good slots from the DP as well - first time I've seen them "in the flesh wood/wire/fabric".  The rockets were a blast too ( :banghead:)

Disappointingly, traders were down again (Inwoods a significant miss) but thanks to all that did show and allowed me to indulge in some bank-balance abuse  ::)

agreed, trade is down from what i remember, the crowds saturday tho!!!
pity the rain came this afternoon, it also killed any idea that the rest of the team wanted to do a 4th flight with what we had left :-\ but to be fair most of the trade was packing up from 4pm anyway.
shame theres no full size anymore, but i still enjoyed the weekend

I agree with some of the previous comments. I have attended this show for some years and it is sad that, year by year, the traders are fewer and fewer. But the flying has always been excellent, as has the organisation. With all the effort that is put in by the club (thanks folks) I hope the event will continue, and be well supported by all. I consider it worth the two hour drive.

Had a very busy weekend helping dad out, always nice to have less to take back. Only flew on the friday evening with the JET1 and a couple of other peoples models.

Some good pics Phil.
