Dear All

I am pleased to announce that we will be holding

A Salute to the 445TH Bomb Group,
which will be a Scale/Warbird/Jet meet at Tibenham Airfield on Friday the 11Th of June 2010

By kind permission of the Norfolk Gliding Club

Three (smooth) tarmac runways in various directions

There is a charge for the use of the Airfield, so unfortunately I will have to charge entrants a fee

Pilots £6
Helpers/Guests £2
Payment in advance would be helpful please

A one minute silence will be held at mid-day for the fallen.

Proof of BMFA or LMA insurance will need to be provided on the day.

Food, Drink,  Bar and Toilets are available at the club house.
The Tibenham Ball will be held in the Clubhouse in the evening.

If you would like me to look into bringing the fullsize P51D Mustang to Tibenham again I will do that.
There would however be a further charge for the Mustang.

Please post on this thread if interested.

Below are some pictures from last year

Regards Phil G.

Richard, bring what ever you like mate (scale/warbird/jet) I just hope that you can make it.
It is never quite the same if any of our regulars can't make it.

If you have any problems with the ATC at Barkston, I might be able to help you with that.
As I have mentioned to you before.

I will make enquires regarding the Mustang tomorrow.

The more I see your Trusty Rusty scheme the more I like it.

I am sorry to hear that you are unable to attend this event,
The NGC  run various courses etc during the year, so this was the only realistic
date I could have. At least you will be with your kids mate.

Dear Charlie
Thank you for supporting this event, all being well the Yellow Spitfire
will be there. It is one of the nicest Spitfire's I have ever flown.

It would be worth coming to this event, just to see your Sea Fury.

If you look above, there might even be two Furies.

Charlie, when you take charge of your magnificent Sea Fury can you post
some picture on here please.

I look forward to seeing you on the day.

Dear All

You beauty....

I have just spoken with Maurice Hammond, the owner of Hardwick Warbirds.

He has agreed to bring one of his magnificent P51D Mustang's to Tibenham on the afternoon of
the 11Th of June. Obviously pending weather, serviceability etc.

I am going to see if I can get some sponsorship for the Mustang,
from some of the larger companies on this forum.

Below are some pictures of Maurice's other P51D Mustang 'Janie'

I don't normally like seeing pictures of myself (Old/Grey/Fat bloke)
If you could humour me on this one, it is a picture of me greeting Maurice on his arrival
at Tibenham last year.

To say I am elated is an understatement.  :)
