good point and well presented - get health and safety in  along with the planning commitee - theyll soon sort the problem.

Warfarin.  :)

Thanks Alex I have never needed to spell Warfarin before. My dad takes it to lower his blood pressure. It also makes him very cold, no matter if its warm or not and if he gets cut he bleeds like a 'pig' or should that be a 'rat?' - he also bruises well!
Big brown/purple bruises - but it keeps the old ticker going.

Thanks Steve

Steve, It's only Water Voles that are protected and only Moles not Voles that make hills :)
The Vole holes are probably worse than the Mole hills, as you can see the hills, but the holes are only visible if you are standing over them.

Water Voles - yep, I saw Bill Oddy at some point talking about Water Voles. I think thats where I retained that info from. It sounds like your Voles operate in a similar manner the Vietcong, burrows and tunnels and the occasional model falling down one.

Now the Americans lost that war, I'm not saying anything!!

I was reading in one of the monthly mags that during a Vintage Glider meet, some Red Kites were flying near by and models wishing to make the best of the lift when and flew with them - only to hit sink and end up down the hill. It was suggested the the Kites were intelligent and luring the aeroplanes into sink. I thought about your Voles, when I was reading it. I thought - I'll bet they are working in sync with the Voles!

It loos like Natures fighting back.

Some years ago we had Moles on a Flying Strip, various means of trying to get them off the strip failed over a period of about 4 years. I just think they had greater numbers - see - like the Vietcong again!

I'll stop short of suggesting blanket bombing!

I think you could be on a looser, they are hard to shift in Gardens and Lawns in built up areas, but when you are next to some rough scrub and green fields, its going to be difficult to shift them. Could the club call in an expert Vole/Mole catcher?

I just got myself a nice new set of EFlite Electronic retracts and I'd hate them to be got by the Voles! I can guess how frustrating it must be ( being serious).

Steve
