A word of warning that fibretech are insanely expensive. Shopping round will normally get you the exact same materials for between 1/4 and 1/2 the price.

I just compared the price of their 25gsm glass, which is more than double the price of my usual supplier. Fibretechs carbon strip, which I somtimes use for DLG spars is 4x the price of the same item from hyperflight.

they're expensive too! 200g carbon is £6 more a metre than at Eastcoast Fibreglass for example.

In my experience stay away from specialists where possible.

Fair enough, but I reckon £10.50 for metre of the 20-70 mm dia sock, which when laid flat is 98mm wide, is not very expensive- I could sock my Wasabi fus with that!  :D

Agreed, But I prefer buying from uk than having to get it from over seas.

Is it expensive
R&G Faserverbundwerkstoffe | Carbon braided hose 18 mm | online kaufen
6.90 euro for 1 meter, 9.76 euros for 3 meter and and 14 euro for 3meter, convert to pound,  £6.06, £8.56 and £12 compared with £6.50 £12 and £17 from Fiber Tec But rg charge 25 euro postage compared to £3.50 from fiber tec, so, If you are going large maybe, but for small quantities is it worth it?

If there are other uk suppliers please let me know, also for glass sock.

For small amounts of sock, you are right.. probably better going direct to fibretech. EMC-Vega has 18mm for e4.20/m, but like you say for a small order the shipping costs do sway things the wrong way.

My problem with fibretech is that I am not convinced they really understand the products they are selling. They seem to often supply the cloth folded, which ruins the properties of the fibre and for a vendor that specialises in composites I just expect their pricing on readily available items to be a bit more competitive.

It would be nice to have a distributer of the same standard as R&G or EMC-Vega in the UK

I liked Fibertech until i compared prices. I now use East Coast for most stuff and the odd item of strange stuff I get from Soller and cut the postage contribution by buying at least twice what I actually think I'll ever need.
