Just announced on the Robbe website - based on the new 8FG, but in a similar tray type case to the FX-30:

search for item 1-F8072 at:

http://at.robbe-online.net/rims_at.storefront/en

http://data.robbe-online.net/robbe_pic/P1001/P1001_1-F8072.jpg

They also have the new S-Bus Rx and servos - serially linked servos to reduce wiring and save space in narrow fuselages.

Hmmmmm and with the dear old FC28 getting on a bit, maybe worth looking at. However, if it's as plasticky as an 8FG.......

What is wrong with a folded ali case with end caps? Why must all these trannies look like they've been made in the same factory that small modern cars have their awful dashs moulded in? Grumble, grumble - I'm going to ressurect my Royal MC! EPROM modules an all. Anyone got a Skyleader Courier?

Looks interesting, a lot of the higher end features of the other Futaba's for 10C cost.

A direct link...

Well spotted Simon thats really nice  :co

I have often admired Joel's FX30, its got a good feel to it and is a nice size and weight coming from a tray tranny.

Not in the market for a new tranny (been spending too much on models) but that looks like a really good option

Paint will not hide imperfections, it will just change their colour!

What does it mean when they say: " 10 channels available, eight channels propo, 2 control"?

I think Mike is right however it would probably be a very simple job to change those switches to rotary potentiometers if the extra propo functions were needed.

I have Simon_t's old FC-28, and everything else feels like a toy radio after using it.

At the mo, after spending far too much cash on models, I will keep the FC-28  :af

I would have thought it will be the same as the 10C, i.e. 8 proportional and 2 on/off.

Do the normal range of FASST receivers work with this or is it just the new serial ones?

I would imagine it would work with all of the 1024 and 2048 RX's, as well as the S-bus ones.  I don't think they would sell many if it only did S-Bus, although in 5 years time we might be looking back at conventional connections much like we look back at reeds today...  (apologies to younger viewers!)
