Just got an invitation from Klaus Uehlein, from Weston Park, via Facebook.
Will have loads of Park Fly stuff on 2.4 and small Helis on 2.4, so can fly until midnight and beyond. Also got lights for my Trojan and Swift II. :)
Pity, though it only lasts for 2 and a bit days... :co

If you think about it, it's great value.
How much is a football match? At least £80 for a prem match, which lasts two hours, including break.
It costs a fair sum to organise this sort of event, people give up their free time to make it a success. I really enjoy the weekend and would recommend it to anyone who hasn't been before.
C'mon, make it a great weekend. After all, hundreds of people camp, and come back year, after year after year...

I think you're not sure about the pricing structure.

The £40 includes up to 3 people for both days "includes admission to the park and show all weekend and covers 3  occupants in the vehicle from Thursday till Monday".

Also, night-time at Weston Park is more exiting than being in a Travel Lodge! ;D

Also, if you went on Sat and went again on Sun, you would pay two admissions, so not a good idea.

How much is the admission, Steve? :study:

Admission prices this are
£9.50 adults
£25.00 family tickit  2 Adults 3 children
under 5 free

And your right Paul take of the admission price from the camping £30.50 for 3 days camping i think that's a bit cheaper than holiday inn
unless your sleeping in the car park lol
see you soon wouldn't be the same if no body winged

Good value. Considering full-size airshows cost from £30 for half a day flying. Plus the traders at model shows are relevant to the model show. At airshows, there are sellers selling things like fire places, plants and wierd stuff, aircraft enthusiasts would pass.
There is craft tent(s), selling other trinkets to keep the woman happy. :)

Ahh, that makes a HUGE difference!

I got the impression tha the £40 was just to camp and the admission was on top of that. At least, that's the way I read the website.

I'll see you there!

I'm really looking forward to Weston Park this year.  It will be my first year camping there (just sent off my booking form tonight!).  I'll be in the yellow VW camper, although more likely to be found within arms reach of the beer tent!  I'm quite keen to see some of this 3D helicopter stuff in person too.  I've only ever seen it done properly on videos.....

I can fix anything in the whole world, for I am armed with two rolls of Duct tape, and a rather large Hammer....

Worry not about the of colour of the wires - one trip through the trees and the whole problem just seems to go away :ev

Hi All,

I have just been speaking to Steve Bishop regarding the show – Weston Park 2010 looks like being a real cracker!  Steve has given me permission to post information as it comes available with this being the first instalment.

There has usually been 3d heli flying at the Weston Park Model Show but this year the 3D Heli Cup, being held on a separate flightline, is going to take it to a new level whilst not detracting from the great ‘show line’.  The event format attracts competitors ranging from first timers to advanced 3DX pilots, with some of the very best pilots in the UK already booked in.  I understand that the intention is to run a land train between 2 flight lines which will make it much easier to sample the best of both worlds.

Traders are supporting the show in greater numbers each year.  With over 2000ft of stall frontage booked in so far (and the show flightline is 600ft) , squeezing them all in is going to be as much fun as ever :'' :''  The Traders list – with a few late comers still to be added – is included below.

Who else is going this year?

Looks like I'll be going with a new(er) caravan. So will be first time out at Weston...
Getting a Compass Rallye 2 berth. I'll miss my old caravan, which is for sale.
p.s. Does anyone want a good, cheap ABI Marauder 2-berth for Weston Park, ready to go? :''
