On behalf of Langar m.a.c I am pleased to announce our new warbird fly-in on sun 22nd of august.
The event is to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the battle of britain and is open to all warbirds from 1914 to the present day, prop or jet big or small all welcome.
The main event will be on the sunday but anybody wishing to make a weekend of it are welcome to camp FREE on the airfield although there will be a small fee of £5 a day to fly to cover the cost of the portaloos.
If you havent visited langar before our facilitys are excellent (see pics below) and our pits and runway are big enough for the largest models therfore we have no restriction on size but all pilots must have bmfa/lma insurance and have relevant paperwork for 20+kg models.
This is an open event however we would appreciate people posting their intention to attend along with what models they will be bringing to give us an idea of numbers.

There is a good chance I can make this one, 1/4 scale (ish) Pup, 35mhz channel 78, could possibly bring a 1/4 scale DR1 and 72" P51.  Whilst I am free that weekend at the moment I cant confirm 100% as ex wife is known to alter holiday dates I can have my kids visit.

Yep, I'll be coming. That will be three visits per year. UK

Got quite a few warbirds, not as much as my sport stuff, I do have a YT Spit to finish off. Had it years, but never finished it off. Problem with retracts. Got a leak in the pipe somewhere.

Its the first warbird do we have had, although the normal flyin is in its umpteenth year, we have not tried a 'proper' warbird job yet, so dont worry about that, we just need to have some idea how many! Sounds as if we will have a few WW1 models...

The three most common expressions (or famous last words) in military aviation are: 'Did you feel that?' 'What's that noise?'  and 'Oh S...!' or (appended from the Arkansas Air National Guard):"Hold my beer and watch this!"
