Her are the first fuzzy photos of the paint job. The painter has been conservative and copied the "moustique" example as many others have already done. I will post better pics when it is all done. The Logos look very good in real life with the brass Humbrol acrylic.

Cowl and Fus painted, wing painting starts today. I managed to find some 14BA brass screws, nuts and washers to attach the logo and name plates with.

Affixed the 3 plaques. Also shown is a little cockpit detail (there wasn't very much in the real aircraft). The compass actually works!

The last of the strut tapes fitted -the fus is completely finished. I have had several tons of clay and mud removed and a patio laid so that I can admire model airplanes in the back garden all year round now...

This is the last of the thread - all finished and it flew beatifully in the sunny weather today. The owner wants a bit more power so the next job will be to assemble and fit a CRRC pro 40i engine from a kit. The 26cc is marginal at this weight - 18.5 pounds.
Last video to follow.

That looks a treat a credit to you
I like the look of those CRRC's to and at £115 affordable to:

Thank you Nfg. Mike managed to get one for £109 via ebay! Worth a punt at that price. I will feed back probably on the engine forum, as the 40 will be flight tested and bedded down in a sport model before installation in the Morane.

This is the final video - it is too long, but has two take-offs and landings in the full colour scheme.

I came across this yesterday, only by chance! First of all congratulations on a project well done, in some ways better than mine. I am Herman Grobler, the designer, and I appreciate your comments on the build. Though late, If you still are interested I could give the acad file to you. Mine is still flying after many years. It crashed in 2004 due to radio interference, but I repaired it, and it is as new after 20 flights post crash repair. I changed the wing, due to the nature of the repair required, by splitting it in two. It is now a little easier for transport as the wing is quite big. Must work out to add a picture. Any comments, rotten tomtoes welcome as I would like to update the plan

Hello Herman
I am genuinely honoured! I will have look at the plans and get back to you with suggested alterations. As I recall it is the interlocking of F2/F3 to the fus sides and the length of the floor that didn't work out as expected. having said that the design is way way beyond anything that i could ever do, and it is a fantastic model that commands respect from everyone who sees it.
I would love to see some photos and a bit more info about yours.
Regards

Hello Tiposx
Thank you for the comments, looking forward to your recommendations. I like the control cable arrangement on the rudder. Origanally I did not support the rudder horn/ torquerod assembly properly, and now the tension from the cables keep on pulling the root onto the fuselage, causing it to bind around the center position. Very irritating. Also I am considering to move the cog little back after your experiences, by removing some of the lead in the nose.
Anyway some pictures attached
