Major problem--- my own making

Took back off my DSX9 and knocked the aerial/ coak in the case and it pulled straight out of its little crimp on plug.  Obviously fooked :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

JR service cemntre isnt open until Monday / wednesday.

Can i get a replacement aerial or is it a return to JR job?

Thank gawd I kept my 35mhz tx and synth receivers- goig in the shed now to kick and swear and swap back to 35 for the weekend!!!

Currently 42 planes and 1 Helicopter! Perhaps I dont NEED them all but I want soooo many more !

Yes, very cheap and easy to fit.

I know Inwoods stock them, might be worth a call in the morning.

I did that. You can't get replacement aerials. Let Wiz know, but looks like you have to buy the whole unit again. :banghead:

However, I fixed mine, by removing the screws, stripping back the center sheath and re-soldering. Then attaching the earth braid onto the ground. Obviously checked the range, and seems ok. Put some extra epoxy to take the stress.
It is a bit fragile as that little wire is asking for trouble. Will be buying a full set soon, as I wanted to use my 35Mhz PCM9XII which was a spare.

Don't be a don't be, be a doobie!

As in the transmitter? Please say you don't mean that.  :xx

Rimmer: Step up to Red Alert!
Kryten: Sir, are you absolutely sure? It does mean changing the bulb.

If you mean this whole bit, then you can buy them from Inwoods which is where I got my one from for about £15, it comes with the wire with the clip on the end  :af

Simon,

You should have been able to get a replacement antenna direct from MacGregors today.

I think it was 14.99

Basic Research is what I do - when I don't know what I'm doing!.

SORTED!

Phoned Macgregor this morning and as the specialist who looks after reapirs was out till Tuesday it was suggested that I send the TX in for review, quote and then repair and return. :banghead:

I phoned Inwoods- no stock :banghead:

Did a quick search on t,web and found hobbyplastic had antnna and it was in stock. Phoned Hobbyplastic and the number looked familiar, answered by a familiar voice ' Mac Gregor Industries' and transferred to a helpful chap who is going to ship first class today!  all that has failed is the tiny co-axial crimp connector and I had to but a complete assembly.  Still its only £15.00 plus post.

Apparentyly Eflite antenna fits too.
