Nice one Ads. All the D40's and D60's on this delivery are sold, but there are two D80's still available and now in stock. By the way the D80 pricing has improved now, so the price of £1150 now includes all hardware including Joe's pre-made linkages, horns, ballast system and radio tray, and wiring loom.

More stock of D40's and D60's due in about a month  :xx

Three different Dynamics? Surely not.

Nice part-quiver, Adam.

Not touched it yet.  :-\

What are you planning on using for the elevator?

I'll have a look at squeezing a 095 in there too Joe. But failing that then the ds09.

Right. I've got one on order, so has anyone started their build yet? Are there accessory packs available or do we source our own?

You get the radio / ballast plates and controll horns. So all you need is some clevises and pushrod.

Still waiting on servos for mine. Want to take it Lundy.

Unless your going with metal servo arms then stay clear of ball links on a potential DS model.  The offset of the ball causes plastic arms to flex a little. Seems fine on a couple of F3F setups I've done. But wouldn't do it on a D60 unless you are building for front side only?

I'd like to thin DS will figure at some point, but she will be a frontside queen mainly. We need Hyperion metal arms!!

  Or just use a clevis!

You also might struggle getting servo arm with a ball joint on it under the supplied covers.

TBH I'm so impressed by the Needle method that I already used on my Bird60s that I was thinking of going that way.

have you considered graupner ds3288s?

I thought the wing wasn't that thin though on dynamics?

The 40 and the 60 use a thinner aerofoil than the 80. The 80 has enough speed and Re numbers to use a very different, laminar flow section.

Got all the servos,
Ds095 is just too tight of a fit for my liking so opted for the Hyperion ds09. Elevator servo is in and tail/stab is all glued in place.

Pushrod is a 2mm item. Threaded part into the servo horn and just a simple 90degree bend into surface horn. More pics later.

Adam

When you say the Ds095 is too tight a fit, are you reffering to just the elevator servo?
Are you still using Ds095 in the wing? ? But now using DS09 in the elevator?
Hoping to order my servos this week

Where did you get the servos in the end? Know you were struggling to get hold of them?
Chris

rite, lets try again.

if you use this set up for the elevator then dont forget to offset the surface horn a little (see pic)

Flap horns in

always leave the horns as long as possable so that you get a longer more accurate measurement from end hole to servo case when pairing up offsets

then cut once you have offsets worked out

hole in wing for wires, complete with gromet, Make sure to make the hole where it wont foul on the ballast bolts in the fuse :af

OOps!! 2 of the same :D Zims on the case

A clean build as ever. As soon as my new business comes on line this plane is top of my list. Well, after fixing the Needle and finishing the Shredder...
