I think it's a mistake, the website seems to be slightly flakey! I registered and it crashed and asked me to try again, which I did. I now see there are two of me (perish the thought!). Don't worry chaps, only the reliable one is turning up, the other is not to be trusted Alan
Dear AllI have it confirmed from Tibenham, that we do not need to registerfor the event, as we are invited guests.Don't worry if you have registered it does not make any difference.I am really looking forward to this, now that everything is sorted. All we need to do now is get more power out of the enginein our MK. XIV Spitfire. Pat, you might be interested to hear that I am hoping to have my DB Hurricanefinished within the next five weeks, hopefully in time for a Battle of Britain event somewhere. The Hurricane will be finished as Douglas Bader's machine, whilst he was atColtishall with 242 Squadron.Regards Phil G.
Do you have a date in mind Phil. I am away 4th to the 12th if that helps Charlie C
PhilAs one of the "glider boys" I can confirm that we are only planning to fly on the evening of Saturday 31st July, fullsize gliders and weather permitting obviously.Pat
Dear AllI have just spoken on the phone with the airfield manager at Tibenham,to confirm everything is still in order for the Wednesday evening display.Everything is in order and it is all systems go.I am rearing to go and it will be nice to fly again at that historic airfield. The weather forecast for Wednesday is, heavy rain in the morning andclearing out in the afternoon (that sounds familiar) with light winds.Regards Phil G.
Our Spitfire has developed a technical problem so will not be appearing.A shame that because it is a beautiful Spitfire to fly.Regards Phil G.
Anything we can help with? I can be there virtually any time you like if you need a hand getting it ready to fly in the evening
