Hi All,

Gotta agree with all the above posts - superb day. Some really great flying & some excellent looking models, too. Barkston Warbirds can't come soon enough.

I've just downloaded all the pics I took & its a case of finding where to start. :'' I'll post some soon :study:

Rich, thanks to you & all your team - another memorable Barkston Bash.   :af

TTFN,
Neil

Thanks once again to Richard, the team and the Grantham Club for another fantastic (but flippin freezing) day :af   My car reckoned it was -2 when we left, probably got up to +1 during that warm half hour after lunch!   Glad you persevered with the arrangements.

I can classify it as a "One Prop day" :embarassed:

Yeah Alan, but you WANT to look inside.....

Look inside?  I've been inside and very toasty it was too!  Mat's done a good job on it, even if I was dazzled by some fog lights on the way home :study:

My toes were frozen but it was still good fun.  :af
Particularly enjoyed the duo "jamming" session with Pylon. . . .  :D

B.C.

I enjoyed your dual with Richard too Brian, highly entertaining.

Thanks Richard and everyone who helped arrange this get together, a superb counter to the winter blues.

Yes but he did manage to reduce his Gremlin 10 x 6 prop to an 8 x 6 which seems to uphold a proud tradition !  :o

March edition IIRC.

Can i just add, i had an email from our club secretary explaining about the receipts.

he was only sent 6 which were used for new members hence why none were given out when club fees and insurance were paid.

More were ordered but did not arrive arrive untill christmas eve.

So i apologise to our secretary for my posts on this thread in regards to the receipts.

Maz.

I think it must be said that Chris is one of the 'better' club secs, he's on the ball and a good organiser.

His only problem is he has too many dammed holidays  :banghead:

I think the BMFA "short-changed" him then!

The cards come in sheets of 10.  I think we got 3 sheets of them in the re-affiliation pack, and I always ask for more as I use them up throughout the year and build up a small stock to avoid running short at renewal time.  We have something around 70 of our members whose BMFA membership is arranged through the club.  Quite a lot of them seem to go into hibernation over the winter and don't reappear until about Easter - which helps spread out the membership renewals a bit!  ;D  Actually, this has prompted me - I need to order some more,  nearly down to the last sheet...

Remember, up is up, and down is down.  Except when inverted - when down is up, and up can be very expensive

Cheers Rich, and my fellow GDMAS club members for all their efforts to make this event happen.
For me, it was the best Barkston event ever. Just the right amount of people to give it atmosphere, but not so many that it became so busy it became difficult to get a flight in.
Cunning plan that, changing the dates so many times Rich  :''
