Lighting conditions were Carp for the second day...oh well....

Second flight from the first kit from a new company. Indiana Air Works 1/4 Ansalso SVA 5. Dead on scale outline, and flew great! Still a few deatils to add (louvers, guns, etc.)

Not here! That's just for the full scale stuff (quite often). I got very spoiled going to airshows at OW and Dux on my visit.  :uk:

When conditions allow (low numbers in the air, good weather etc) the team do dogfight (See rougham for details). You need to bear in mind, they are not 2bit off the shelf ARTF models, they are have all been hand made, some from scratch so naturally safety and preservation is the key.

yet to see that- its good if they do, no need to actually dogfight, thats not what the US guys are doing- just presenting the models (all built to a fair standard, I would say,) in different poses. What we do in Team Gee Bee is a bit of fun, purely for entertainment, and bears no comparison. (Although, to be fair, each 'two bit artf' totals up at £5-600 depending on where purchased) I proposed to Dave Tap a long time ago (I am actually a team member, although my D7 is STILL not finished!)  the idea of most of the DP circling while a couple of others come down low and tailchase. They could take turns at that, quite safely.

not wanting to get into a long discussion here BUT, as and when appropriate we in the DP are more than willing to throw the aircraft about,i prefer it, and spend a lot of time with Ian and a few others practising this, you cannot do this if there are 10 or so models in the air all in the region of 9 ft span trying to formate together, we have various contingency flight plans for weather conditions and numbers flying at a particular time,it would be irresponsible to try to in poor conditions or large group in front of public to do this, Euroflug tag this year saw 4 of us,3 DP GB and one German guest flying a full 15 min co ordinated aerobatic routine, this has also been flown at several event this year OK most are the casual flyins we attend, and should you wish to see this you will have two opportunities if you are signed up for Osbourneby next week and Ashbourne the week after,(spaces still available) Anyone wishing to come and show us all how its done please say so and you can use my Pup, of course a deposit of £1200 will ensure that you and 9 of your mates are good enough to show me without risking breaking two years work, and finally on the subject of the GB team (all of whom are good friends) they do exactly what air racing planes do, RACE, go and watch the Schneider Trophy (spelling!!) races and tell me how many of the Cessna's, Pipers participating are stunting about all over the place,

Please folks, put the DP barracking / defending somewhere else. :nananana: :nananana:

Lucky Dog, got any more pics of the Hannover and Ansaldo, plus have you any details of the Ansaldo kit, is it only available in 1/4? Do Indiana Air Works have a website and more products in the pipeline?

GUYS,  seems an off the cuff bit of banter has been taken all out of context,    i never ment any harm,    you all know i have the highest regard for the group,     if i have upset anyone with such a small statement, then sorry,

and mudflap,  nothing would give me greater pleasure than to fly with you,    but i cannot see it happening,  not yet anyway,

but there was no need for the "member" :-X bit,  i have done a fair bit for the group,  :)

It was only a bit of harmless banter, Ian- barracking is a bit severe! The more friendly rivalry we can get at shows and flyins, the better! And  :nananana: to you too!  ;D
