Well i have managed to rid the world of the worst paint job i've ever seen over the weekend and rubbed down the wing of my ex Paul Bardoe Dago  :ev

The actual application wasn't too bad, it was just the design that was hideous, i would of sacked any of my art guys that came up with it. Anyway after a few hours work it was history and after a spray with some white primer it was totally eradicated. Last night it had it's first coats of kawaski lime green paint and now looks so much nicer.

I also rubbed down and painted the cowling, so apart from rubbing down to get them ready for lacquer, the only bit that's left is the hardest part............ the fuz.

i'm trying to get it done for the next meeting, it's going to be finding someone to do the clear coat in time, that might stop me

That looks remarkably like the legendary 'Frank Spencer' Green. He had a shedload left over after painting his lorry and all his models turned up that colour. You didnt inherit it did you - it would need some vigorous stirring. :o

It's almost there. I sent it away to be finished and had a call today to say it's being lacquered on Friday and will be back with me on Sunday.

I think Paul is dropping the motor off tomorrow, so this time next week it should be ready to go :)

My F5D wings are being repaired to and also coming back sunday. So it looks like I'll have some time to get some practice in before the season starts again.

Are you coming back to the big course this year mate?

Well the Dago is back and apart from forgetting to tell Tony that I wanted the rear induction hole filled, I'm really pleased with it. The colour has come out just how I wanted it and the finish is brilliant. Thanks has to go to Tony Fu the glider guiders no.1 repair man for all the work he put in to my Dago, viper and demon, plus the repair to Ali's Dago, which has also come out really well.

I'll post some pics tomorrow.

I pretty much got all the gear re-installed in the Dago last night, another hour should see it done apart from installing the MB, which Paul is dropping off this week  :)

The repair on your wing looks just as good mate. Shame Paul split the fuz running your new motor up last weekend though  ;)
