I took a video of it running using my I-phone, so it's not very good.
I don't know how to upload it to here though  ???
I could e-mail it to you if you like.

Steve

e-mail to   jazzysheep@btinternet.com

Awesome !! :af

Thanks for putting that on Stueysheep.
I'm surprised how good the I-phone video came out.
When I get a chance, I'll do another with some revs and maybe a better background.
I had the plane restrained with some rope tied around the U/C axle, looped through the handle of my Jet fuel container which was full (20ltrs) and then tied to the top wing to stop it noseing over.
At around 3/4 power, it started to drag the fuel container across the concrete  :'' so there appears to be enough ooomph. Another thing to note, is that on tick-over, the plane didn't move forward, even though it was on a hard surface. This is due to the extremely low and stable idle from the 4-stroke petrol engine.
In the video, it's on a fast idle of around 17-1800rpm from memory.

Just send any more over to me and i'll load 'em up. Took about 30 seconds to do that small clip so make it as long as you want. :)

Well, it was the big day on Sunday..........She flies   :D

What a wonderful aircraft. Was off the deck in 15 feet and climbing away happily. Couple of clicks of down and left had it flying dead straight. I had programmed a small amount of rudder with aileron mix and this was spot on. I was expecting it to be fairly sluggish in turns, but I was amazed at how crisp it felt.  :af
The landing set up really nicely, even though there was a stiff breeze blowing.

Love it !!

Here's a short and rather boring video of my Camel, just to prove it flies  :)
This is the third flight.

Cheers guys  :af

The Camel flies really well, unlike other bi-planes i've flown in the past. Very precise and responsive.

Stow Maries is a fair diastance from me. Are you all going for the weekend, or just a day? Would be good to meet up.

steve try the Prince of Wales Stow Maries, they have a web site, this is the pub we weill all be going to Sat evening for meal and beer, it has a long assosiation with the airfield, it was where the pilots walked to, hence on sat we are re tracing the steps of pilots past and takeing the "pilots walk" to pub, they do b and b too.
