Hi all.
Did I read somewhere that there is an event at Long Mynd?, haven't got the planes to compete at the moment but would love to come and watch.
Cheers
Jon

Not a brilliant video. I only had time for 5mins of filming. I've tried to patch it together as best I can.

Nice video Joel.
Some footage of the distance task would of been nice Joel, but hey ho.
Some very interesting lanuches there with the freestylers, and was that passingham lawn darting his styler ?

I don't think they are freestylers mate. The yellow/black one is not, neither is the first plane on the video. They are targets/tools and shooters or something.

I think the only fs3 was a white/blue one flown by Mark Passingham, and I  think that was the darted one. Mr West and Mr Hayley were flying FOSAs.

I thought that Joel was going to fly his cyril.
Tom winching is so addictive and you don't have to wait for a decent blow either.
Looks like you guys had an interesting day of it though.

results were:

1 Haley, Steve 100
2 Challinor, Mike 99.74
3 Haley, Simon 90.53
4 Woodhouse, Ken 90.28
5 Whittle, John 85.62
6 West, Joel 82.72
7 Passingham, Mark 81.39
8 Dickinson, Bob 79.35
9 Needham, Clive 67.83
10 Satinet, Tom 67.37
11 Jubb, Chris 65.05
12 Haley, Bill 40.71

This is different to the results called at the comp, I think, because they had Joel down in 10th I think, which seemed unlikey, because he flew very well, as you would expect. Thanks for letting me use your winch mate!

Yes, Chris emailed me today to say that he hadn't inputted my second speed run.  I thought the results were strange but didn't want to say anything because the whole day was so full on it was difficult to work out who was where if you see what I mean.  If I hadn't tried to fly 795metres on a 800metre speed course on my first run  :banghead:

The guys and models in the video were:
Duration: Bill Haley model ?, Mike Challinor model ?, & our Mark the lawn dart Passingham Freestyler
Speed: Mike Challinor Model ?, Ken Woodhouse model ? & Steve Haley Fossa

No worries about the winch mate, anybody is welcome to use it as long as they bring the chute back. Those that have flown flat field will know what I mean.

Lately it has been becoming obvious to me that Simon has donated one of the golden ones to Joel. This just confirms my suspicions.

Really enjoyed watching the vid Joel :af.  More of the same ASAP please.
Repeated "Lawn darting" of the models for the spot landing must surely take its toll  $%&
I spent several years flying flat field only, using bungee's & hand tow lines but have never put a mouldie up on a winch. The "Ping's" off the top that i've seen are just :o.

You can also get pings with bungees too, if you have the wind to help stretch the bungee (Or keep it stretched out).
