Hi Richard

I have found an old Airplane mag with an article on the Wessex with a few pics  would you like a copy?

After a few long sessions I have a complete set of Resin engine parts for one engine.

Also sorting the wing root where it fits over the Wires and struts.

As you see it in the picture it weighs 7kg.  Engines, Lasers, Batteries and paint and covering will make it 11kg.

Lots of detail to add including the night landing system, Flairs and Lighting so perhaps i will end up at 12kg ;D  (as if)

If anyone can guide me to 1930s instrument faces i would be grateful;

Things have moved on with the resin engines and engine terning of the nose and nacelles.

I am now ready for final installation of radio then it is on to the covering.
When it gets to painting i shall assemble the resin engines and install the lasers.
After painting I shall stick on the nose plates and build the cockpit frame.
The Nacelles are covered with Mick Reeves foil that has the terning applied first.

A source for 30's instrument panel layouts and dials is Microsoft Flight Simulator and the many many add on planes on such sites as FlightSim.com

Its over 60 days since last post!
The model is now ready for test flight but the whether is rubbish so i will do this instead.
A few recent pictures culminating in engine runs in the garden. 2 x laser 75s and a 90 on the front that will be swopped for a 120. Covering is Ceconite. KK paint with the GWR chocolate and cream from Precision paints.
Lots of detail will be added after flight if all is well. Most of it is made but is not going on until i have the final weight.

Looking great Richard.

Weather is ok here in Central London today.  Poor Mick Henderson has 6" of snow - just as well he built that heated workshop a few years ago!  His new creation is at painting stage too - quite a diversion for him!

John Carpenter has edited together a much better 5 min video of the Wessex first flight.

http://youtu.be/B1pfbw020Vg

Actually it is two flights as we missed the T/O of the first and the landing of the second but whith 3 cameras we got it covered!

With thanks to the Warboys Club for the use of the magnificent sight.
