Fantastic transformation  :af  Did it add much weight in the end?

Just like a big glo really............

1 line direct to the carb from the clunk feed (you are using Tygon tube & a felt clunk in the tank aren't you?). I'd avoid the in-line Dubro filler valves as these have been known to leak and air can bleed into the system casing running issues

2 other fuel lines to the top 2 feeds in the tank. 1 to fill, the 2nd to overflow/vent. These 2 can be left open to atmosphere when flying but connected together with a piece of Tygon for transport/storage. If you have 2 brass tube fittings exiting the underside of the model, it's a good idea to chamfer the ends forwards a little so forward airflow is forced into the tubes. If you leave them cut square, it's like blowing over the top of a bottle......forward airflow will suck fuel from the tank and you'll be left with a stream of unburned fuel on the underside of the model after each flight.

Set the throttle linkage up using a bellcrank linkage kit  (I think you bought one?). Just make sure it's not too stiff and you get full movement from shut to fully open with no binding.

Leave the needles alone and run it initially and see what happens. Don't run it for too long on the ground as petrol's run MUCH hotter than glo and you risk overheating if there is no forward airflow over the engine. Once you have it basically set, fly it...............

Needles should require minimal if any tweeking, they are factory set.

The 'L' needle sets the basic throttle pick up to midrange, the 'H' needle the top end. Needles are VERY course compared to glo, 1/8 of a turn can make a big difference to be careful not to overdo it on adjustments.

That's the basics....see how you get on and post back or even call me if you have further questions..............

Hello TSM,
Yes, a real pain in the cross bread mule. You have taken an ARTF to a new level...great.  Really nice product.
Amazing what can be done to the ARTF.  I have been swamped at work and have not visited my 1 year old P-47 @ 88'' span build from scratch...first time ever build.  The landing gear doors are straight forward but a lot of busy little work.  The work well on my build.  My build is stalled out at the tail feathers.  The wing is done and the fuse is done.  Maybe next year ( or 5 months of steady 20 hour/ week) to finish. The craving is building up and maybe soon.  Have not flown in 5 months.  Taking care of buisiness, ''TCB '', Elvis use to say.
Enjoy.
Albert
